I had never bothered watching the sequels after The Howling II, because of how terrible that movie is and the rest looked terrible too. I decided to start finishing this franchise and The Amityville Horror franchise and I am in the middle of watching The Howling III right now. This movie is bad in an entertaining way. It is an Australian horror comedy and it is rated PG-13. The best part is that they are Tasmanian Tiger werewolves and they have pouches for their young. This movie was apparently the last Howling sequel that got a theatrical release. The Tasmanian Tiger went extinct in 1936.

This is a weird ass movie but in a sort of amusing way. Gets boring in the second half though. I actually prefer Howling II.
I've only watched the first three in this franchise (so far).

Definitely not a good movie though. Did you know both of these are from the same director? I wouldn't have guessed, I mean, they're both whack but different shades of whack.

I like that Howling III is almost like a pro-werewolf movie.

I still need to see the first Howling. With the exception of the transformation scene, it is forgettable imo.

According to media reports published this month, a group of scientists are exploring the possibility of resurrecting the Tasmanian tiger.
'Researchers in Australia and the US are embarking on a multi-million dollar project to bring the Tasmanian tiger back from extinction. The last known one, officially called a thylacine, died in the 1930s. The team behind the bid say it can be recreated using stem cells and gene-editing technology, and the first thylacine could be reintroduced to the wild in 10 years' time. Other experts are sceptical and suggest de-extinction is just science fiction.'

I quite enjoy this, even though not as fun or crazy as the second one, there is still enough hilarious and funny scenes and characters showing up, so it never gets boring or dull.
Also, I believe director Phillipe Mora, said something that during the making of Howling II, he did not get full control, and there was a lot of studio involvements happening, after he was done, which leads up to some of the films more hilarious moments, such as the ridiculous end credits, showing the lovely funbags of Sybil Danning, about a zillion times, and yeah, somehow, all the creative differences, ended up working incredibly well, at least for my part, as it has gone on to become one of my favorite bad movies.
Anyway, Kendi should have gotten way bigger part, as his performance is among the highlights of the entire film franchise. Also loved the hilarious and goofy fat Australian Hitchcock movie director, who put in some great moves.
All in all, part 2 and 3, is surely far away of deserving "worst movie" prize, as there were far worse things to come from this strange and still fascinating franchise.
