Are there different rules for the path from 3rd to home? I see guys all over the place trying to avoid getting tagged or running down the catcher.
Alejandro Kirk got called for interference in Baltimore the other week. Not for his tag aside the baseline, which was clean, yet I think for not getting out of the basepath immediately upon the batted ball.
Without the ball in hand, the catcher cannot impede the basepath. With a runner on 3rd, that means get out of way until you've got the ball.
