I enjoyed Memoirs Of An Invisible Man. Sam Neill was excellent as the villain.

Mine posted on IMDb.
Not really big on sci-fi OR Chevy Chase but this one is worth a look see. The story is interesting with a peek at the down side of being invisible. The special effects enable us to see smoking, eating and even barfing ... aren't we lucky ? Actually, they were quite well done, for the state of the art at that time. Especially liked the concept of the clothes that he was wearing being rendered invisible as well so that he had to keep finding them when he wanted to be ... well, Invisible! When they painted on his face with make-up... priceless !
Cast all performed well. Sam Neill is familiar to me as a hero type so seeing him as the bad guy was interesting. Steve Tobolewski (Needle-head Ned from Groundhog Day) did not quite work, for me, as the "good" CIA guy much as I always enjoy his work. He was a tad too soft. There is a scene with George's wife that caused a flurry of "who is that ? " Turned out to be Patricia Heaton from "The Middle".
Anyway. Even if not a fan of Chevy Chase or Daryl Hannah, give this one a look.. it's just a fun picture.

That's a surprisingly entertaining movie. A real under-the-radar gem from John Carpenter.

The prospect of my favourite director filming an adaptation of what was frankly a stunning novel was mouth watering. The result was entertaining as a film, a major disappointment as an adaptation.
