I just ordered this pumpkin costume. It's "one size fits most," plus, so while it will actually fit like a dress on me, that means I can wear it over my nurse's uniform/layer a t-shirt and sweatshirt under it for warmth! I work 7p-7a on the 30th, so I'm going to wear it to work and take trick ir treat bucket filled with candy to pass out to the patients. I'm also going to visit my grandkids the week before Halloween and I'm hoping we can hit some trunk or treats. I want to get the baby a matching pumpkin costume 😂 On actual Halloween I'm off work that night. My besties has this chainsaw style hedge trimmer that she loves. I'm going to top off Halloween with her being leather face from Texas Chainsaw Masacre and me being one of his victims 😂😂 We plan on trying to scare the crap out of the teen trick or treaters. I figure I can cover this in some fake blood and put some holes/tears in it. Overall, for $25, it's getting a lot of use!

Sadly, no. Just like the previous four years. I don't do trick-or-treating anymore and I don't think I'm going to any parties so having a costume would seem a bit pointless.

Still trying to decide what. My girlfriend and I have been planning on doing Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul ever since she got me the duel bladed lightsaber at Galaxy's Edge, but since an entire Ahsoka show is coming out next year it might be a little more hip to do it then.
I have a fake chainsaw so doing Ash from Evil Dead would be easy enough, but not a lot of couple possibilities there.

I stopped dressing up decades ago, until I was working at a place where they encouraged this behavior. Since they treated us like not-very-bright children, it made sense.
When someone asked me why I wasn't wearing a costume, I would flip my waist-length hair up over my face, put on a hat and sunglasses, and instantly, I was 'Cousin It' from the Addams Family. It worked for them, and I went back to my tasks.
In later years, since I have lost loved ones, I have become more attuned to the holiday of Dia de los Muertos. No, I have no connection to Mexican heritage, I just like the idea of remembering, and celebrating the lives of people I have lost.

Catman is scary enough just as he is.

Catman is scary enough just as he is. That pic of you with a surgical mask with kitty whiskers is a good costume!

I already look like a "Karen," so I guess that's creepy enough.

We are debating it. It's my wife's last year of working where she does and they usually have a killer Halloween Party. We haven't gone in two years. Last time we went as The Night King and Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones. I liked because I didn't have to say a word the whole night. Toying with going as John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

rachelcarson1953 Is your hair still that long?! Mine is shoulder length and it is too much work Actually it is longer now. I lost it all to chemo when I was younger, so I keep it long now as a badge of survival. I trim the ends regularly, so it doesn't look ratty, and it is healthy and thick. I braid it usually, and sometimes put it up in a twist or a bun. It is a bit of work, but to me, worth it.

No. I don't think I've worn a costume for Halloween since I was 9 or 10.

No. I don't think I've worn a costume for Halloween since I was 9 or 10. The only costume I remember from childhood was "Zorro", with a black cardboard hat covered in electrical tape, a cape, boots and a wooden sword painted silver. The TV show "Zorro" was still on, so that certainly dates me. My next favorite TV personality was Liberace; needless to say, my strict Southern Baptist parents caboshed that.

It falls on a Monday this year. I'm out bowling that night. It's either I don't hand out candies (my father has mobility issues - will have NO way of doing it), or I bowl ahead, and stay home for the night. I've got time to work on it. In the meantime: I'll likely be wearing my Barney Rubble costume like I have the past few years. I got the costume about 7 years ago. I was actually looking for a Fred Flintstone costume, but then I laid my eyes on the Barney Rubble costume. Barney better fits my persona, anyway. And, the cashier and I agreed - SOMEONE has to be Barney. Joker's Wilde

I probably will. I have a young daughter that I take trick or treating and if I don't dress up I'll never hear the end of it from her. That said, no idea what I will dress up as.
