Best news is that you are NOT required to refer to it as JOY-ZEE Mikes to get the true NJ experience.

I think I went once. I pass it all the time. I've never associated it with New Jersey. I don't even know or remember what they have. Subs?
- Ok, based on the menu, it would have to be south Jersey/ Philly suburbs.
I'm from north Jersey/ NYC suburbs.

There are 11 of them in the Great KC area. I've never tried them, but found this information.
In their review, Business Insider declared that Jersey Mike's was a much better tasting sandwich with fresher ingredients than Subway. Taste is one thing though — what about nutrition? Sorry, Jersey Mike's, but Subway has you beat by a long shot when it comes to the healthiest sandwich.

A Jersey Mike's opened down the street from us a few years ago, we went once and got beef subs, not much meat and not that great. I also don't care for Subway, they are also stingy with their meat but generous with their shredded lettuce. If I want a sub, I go to Publix, my favorite are their Cubans. A Firehouse sub also opened down the street but we tried them in Albuquerque and were not impressed.

There was one slight slice of corned beef, little cheese, and the added what they called "tangy" sauerkraut. It was a strange flavor, and it defined the taste of the whole sandwich. If we get a Jersey Mike's, I think twice before ordering.

I think I may have eaten at Jersey Mike's. I am not sure. I may be mixing it up with Jimmy John's.
That's what I call entrepreneurial spirit!

Not that memorable. Try to stick with local delis.

I've had it once. I file deli sandwiches next to spaghetti under the "Why am I going out to eat something I can easily make at home?" category. Next up: a chain that serves up nice bowls of cereal.
