I think the two recent championship matches featuring the tag teams of Aliyah & Raquel Rodriguez, and Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky (led by manager Bayley), honestly may just have set a new standard for women's tag team wrestling in WWE (which hasn't always been stellar).
Raquel Rodriguez is a technical powerhouse who can take down any woman in wrestling. Aliyah's gymnastic ability and athleticism make for complimentary wrestling and she's finding ways to circumvent the lightweight tendencies that held her back. Dakota Kai performs wrestling moves that appear almost unique; her modified backbreakers are some of the best I've seen since Alberto Del Rio's backstabber backbreaker combinations and Randy Orton's inverted headlock backbreaker were running the show. Iyo Sky is a zippy mat wrestler and a high-flier with intelligence, though she flies so close to the wind at times, the audience can be heard collectively holding their breath.

In their second encounter, Iyo Sky survived an awkward landing that may have bounced her head off the ground, but the audiences' eyes were quickly drawn to her partner Dakota Kai delivering a devastating modified inverted backbreaker.

The Women's tag division is definitely picking up again, isn't it? Although I think Raquel should be challenging Liv for the Smackdown championship - she's a one woman wrecking ball!

I've read comments online from WWE fans saying Aliyah is perhaps the most improved wrestler in the women's division since working in tandem with Raquel Rodriguez. I'd like to see Rodriguez in a future championship tussle with Rhea Ripley, that could be a rivalry for the ages and there's some history there with Bianca Belair. As a fan of Liv Morgan, I fear for her going up against a well-conditioned powerhouse like Rodriguez.
I used to root for multi-time singles champion Alexa Bliss in her heydey whenever she went up against 'Legit Boss' Sasha Banks and 'Hugger' Bayley. Since her reinvention some years back, Bayley's become a formidable backstage presence, a canny politician and her mentoring of Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky has paid dividends.

I've read comments online from WWE fans saying Aliyah is perhaps the most improved wrestler in the women's division since working in tandem with Raquel Rodriguez. I find Aliyah a bit of a difficult one to rate. She gets brutalised repeatedly by Natalya then gets a sneaky record-breaking win. She then can't challenge for champion because Shotzi locks her in the changing room. Lacey Evans was meant to be her tag team partner but refused to fight and then refused to fight Aaliyah either. And then she and Raquel have a very short stint as tag team champions where Raquel did about 90% of the work. She has got some good aerial skills and some creative grapples, but she isn't coming across as a serious threat to me - yet. Loved Hugger Bayley and also loving her more recent obnoxious personality. She's got a good mix of power and speed, much like Bianca Belair - will be interesting to see how their extreme rules match goes! Either way, I think Damage Control have really injected some life into the women's side of things.
