I love pumpkins as a decoration but not to eat. I used to love pumpkin seeds and as a child would get those small cardboard boxes with the Indian head, those seeds were very well salted.

My grands grew pumpkins seasonally . We are them. I got sick of them. Lol Like you, wkm, the seeds are a good pastime π

I'm confused. I hate pumpkin pie. But is pumpkin spice a different taste? Is it like cider spice with cloves and cinnamon?
I thought I had it, but maybe I never have.

Had customers asking for my pumpkin items beginning of September(cake, donuts, cheesecake, truffles). They each have different amounts of spices in them. But I never get just pumpkin spice because depending on the brand-it will have different amounts of the spices in the blend.

I like pumpkin-spice. Pumpkin is rather mild, and I think it requires a good bit of spice to enhance it. Right after pumpkin-spice season, comes gingerbread. This is a good time of year!

Last year I learned how to make homemade pumpkin purΓ©e. Came up with a good cookie recipe that Iβll tinker with again this year. Also tried to make a homemade pumpkin spice latte last year, but it didnβt turn out so well. I might try that again too.

Anyone pick their pumpkins yet π? Yesterday I bought 3 heirloom pumpkins at Publix, one is pinkish and kind of flat, one is dark green and dark orange speckled and one is bright orange with some dark green and a lot of "warts". I'm still looking for a "Cinderella Pumpkin" and another big flat pumpkin. Maybe I'll pick up a blue pumpkin. I also have 3 regular orange pumpkins to put on my skeleton legs and 2 wire cat pumpkin holders. I love pumpkins.

What is the attraction of the misshapen grey ones ? I don't understand them at all ! This one is pretty compared to some that are for sale... and being bought !

I am not one devoted to "classically handsome / beautiful" only BUT these grey misshapen pumpkins are downright UGLY .... Not so ugly that they are interesting in their ugliness type ugly ... just repulsive ! They are so ugly that yahoo.image has no images like the ones I saw. They cost the same as the regular ones.
