2016 256 games, no ties 2017 256 games, 2 ties 2018 256 games, 1 tie 2019 256 games, 1 tie 2021 272 games, 1 tie. 2022 48 games, 1 tie HUH???!!! Okay. Thanks for those stats. That's about as much evidence as you can get that it is just as unlikely to get a coin to land on its edge as it is see a drawn game in NFL. Americans hate ties ("A tie is like kissing your sister") There was no overtime before 1974. The 1932 Chicago Bears were 7-1 with 6 ties. Since then there were 2 ties in a season only 3 times. Hockey used to have a ton of ties, but those have been completely eliminated.

Miami @ Cincinnati - the Dolphins may be red-hot, but coming off a war with Buffalo on short-rest, I'm not convinced that they'll be at their best tomorrow. BENGALS christen their white tiger unis with a win.
Minnesota vs New Orleans (London, UK) - Londoners haven't exactly been blessed with dynamite NFL games in recent memory. They've seen a lot of Jameis and Blake Bortles in their time, bless them. Well, this time they get Jameis (or maybe Dalton) again - but also the Justin Jefferson and KOC Vikes experience. Let's see if they can provide more of a spectacle. VIKINGS win - the earlier in the day it is, the better Cousins is likely to play.
Cleveland @ Atlanta - Myles Garrett was in a car crash! Pretty scary stuff; not sure he'll be firing on all cylinders if he plays at all. If their main engine isn't at full capacity, how will Cleveland's defense cope? I think the FALCONS will get it done.
Buffalo @ Baltimore - this one could finish 48-45 the way Lamar and Allen are playing along with the state of their respective defenses. I guess I'll go RAVENS at home.
Washington @ Dallas - Carson Wentz versus that ferocious Dallas defense is a recipe for slaughter. COWBOYS.
Seattle @ Detroit - Nobody can accuse the LIONS of not showing up; they'll get back on track against an uninspired Hawks outfit.
LA Chargers @ Houston - CHARGERS will be in deep trouble if they lose here.
Tennessee @ Indianapolis - maybe it'll be one of those years where the COLTS are great at home? Why not?
Chicago @ NY Giants - GIANTS bounce back from their MNF loss; Fields is having a sophomore season to forget despite the winning record.
Jacksonville @ Philadelphia - Jags looked shockingly dominant last week, but I'm not convinced they can do it against an EAGLES team that's no doubt thinking up their next playoff catchphrase.
NY Jets @ Pittsburgh - a loss against Zach Wilson's JETS will convince any previously unsure Yinzers that Pickett simply has to come in. Will it convince Tomlin, however?
Arizona @ Carolina - I'll go with an upset; PANTHERS get it done.
New England @ Green Bay - if the Patriots did win, it'd be the biggest shock of a season full of surprises. They won't, of course. PACKERS. Food for thought: Rodgers this week praised Bill Belichick as "a legend, a living legend" and "a fantastic coach." Of course, he also gets his medical advice from Joe Rogan.
Denver @ Las Vegas - RAIDERS have gotta win sometime... right?
Kansas City @ Tampa Bay - Mahomes returns to the site of his biggest defeat (that is unless a hurricane moves the game). This time he gets some revenge against the banged-up Bucs. CHIEFS.
LA Rams @ San Francisco - Shanahan tends to beat McVay; in the regular season, at least. 49ERS pull off the upset in a pick I'll likely regret.

Klawrencio remembered to post the weekly Sunday discussion thread - he did not remember to post his picks. He therefore claims his second and final insurance points to stay afloat in the standings. Luckily, he's still not too far off because most of us kinda sucked this week. Week 3 results

2022 - Week 4 Rules: simply pick the winner of each game listed. No score required (though a little added commentary on your picks won't be discouraged). The first game of the week is usually Thursday Night Football. If you miss this game, you can still pick for Saturday/Sunday/Monday games; however in all cases you must make your picks before kickoff for picks to be valid.
If I've 'liked' your post, consider your picks logged and recorded.
