The First Degree (1923) - saw it on TCM tonight, 9-28-2022. This was a very good silent melodrama, starring Frank Mayo, Sylvia Breamer, and Philo McCullough. Apparently it was lost shortly after it premiered in 1923. Amazingly enough, a near-pristine copy was discovered quite by accident 97 years later - at Chicago Film Archives in June of 2020. It was digitally restored, and a modern soundtrack, by the band Quasar Wut-Wut, was added. The result (to my mind, anyway): a very good silent, with a particularly good soundtrack.
Don't know if this can be seen anywhere online, but hopefully TCM will air it again one of these days.

Have it recorded, Zolotoy, but haven't watched it yet. Will soon, I hope. I love it when they're able to find and restore silent films believed to be lost. It's a gift to everyone. Thanks for letting us know. And I'm glad you liked it.
