Baylor any good this year? Yes Baylor has a good team - they are a consistently good program. None of the Big 12 teams are bad, and they have 6 ranked teams - Kansas, Kansas St, Iowa St, TCU, Texas, Baylor.Β Iβm sure this put Rick Barnes in a great mood π

Bama is destroying Florida, up 29 at halftime. I think the Tide are legitimate Final Four contenders, they have a great offense and can score a lot, and their defense is solid as well.

Iβm sure this put Rick Barnes in a great mood π I think Tennessee is overrated - they couldnβt score against Auburn on Saturday, scoring is a struggle for them some, they lost to Florida last week, the same Florida team thatβs getting their ass stomped by Bama tonight, and they just lost to a Vandy team with a losing record. They are highly overrated, I donβt see them as Final Four caliber.

Speaking of end of game announcing. Down 4 with 5.2 to go, arena quiet as hell.

Purdue beats Iowa by 14 - another nice win for the Boilermakers, theyβve been really impressive this season.

Season starts in 30 days. It will be an odd season with no Jay Wright on the Villanova bench and no Mike Krzyzewski on the Duke bench. That's a combined 1,844 wins, 17 Final Fours and 7 national championships missing. Tough act to follow for Mike Neptune at 'Nova and Jon Scheyer at Duke. There used to be maxim for coaches, "Never follow the legend". The coaches who followed John Wooden at UCLA, Gene Bartow and Gary Cunningham won a lot of games, but got let go because the didn't win titles. Look at Indiana's struggles since Bob Knight got the boot. UNC struggled for a bit after Dean Smith and before Roy Williams. This could be the last year for "One and Done", with the NBA going back to drafting HS players soon. Should be a fun season anyway. Carolina returns nearly everyone from a team that was 30 minutes from an unlikely title. Gonzaga is loaded again but can it finally win it all?

The Dookies and the Tar Heels are having less than overwhelming seasons. Duke was bound to have some adjustment period after Krzyzewski's 114 year reign was over. Carolina thought they had the title already engraved before the season began. Virginia is tied for the ACC lead with the unlikely duo of Clemson and Pitt. Jeff Capel seems to have Pittsburgh on the path to respectability. Many thought that Capel should have taken over for K and not Scheyer. Give Scheyer a chance but there's an old adage in coaching. "never follow the legend". Ask Phil Bengston, Gene Bartow, Mike Davis, Jim Dooley etc etc

I agree with you in general but Both Coach K and Jay Wright left a year too late and screwed over the next guy.

I agree with you in general but Both Coach K and Jay Wright left a year too late and screwed over the next guy. K might have left too late but he was still recruiting a ton of five stars. But it seems like he couldn't coach them as well. On paper, some of his later teams had more star power than his title winning teams. But not even a Final Four team since 2016.
Villanova is really struggling. I'm not sure Kyle Neptune was the right choice. One season, 16-16, at Fordham? Yeah, he learned fro Jay Wright but that's doesn't always work out. And, hoo boy, someone has gotten into he Wikipedia page.

Iβm really glad Georgia beat Kentucky - I hate Kentucky and cheater Calipari. Bama/Auburn and UConn/Creighton are good games.

Bama with a nice road win over Auburn. Creighton beats UConn in a top 25 battle. Duke/Virginia and Baylor/TCU are on now?

Mizzou blew a 17 point second half lead, but then won it on an incredible three at the buzzer. I'm still hyper ventilating. I can't figure out how to embed the tweet, sorry for that.

Good win on the road for Mizzou, although I think Tennessee is the most overrated team in CBB. They havenβt impressed me at all.
