Shelley Winters makes Bradford Dillman's life a misery in the 1971 ABC TV movie "Revenge!" Winters is a bereaved mother who's gone bonkers, blaming businessman Dillman for driving her daughter to suicide. After luring him to her home, the maniac mama wants a confession AND retribution. Stuart Whitman is the cynical psychic that wife Carol Rossen hires to find the missing hubby. My fast take on this eerie tale & Winters mesmerizing performance here:
The similarities to Misery 1990 is hard to miss--the Stuart Whitman character is interesting. The only weak part is the wife character. Very anonymous actress makes it kind of jarring. I need to rewatch it though.
