One of the things I REALLY hate are having to watch any games on TV with the usual 2-3 hours of commercials to wade through for every single game........in fact, it's gotten so bad, I now record them with my antiquated old recorder (hard drive, rather than tape), and then watch the game immediately after it ends (of course, then having to avoid all online and/or TV broadcasts during the game), so I can blast through all the commercials during playback of the game itself (and no, I've never gone the DVR route). One thing I've noticed this season that ESPECIALLY bothers me, is the fact that college football games continue to insert FULL commercial breaks both before AND immediately after a kickoff following a score in the game. Of ALL the 'tricks' broadcasters use to STUFF increasingly more commercials in every game, this is the one that I REALLY can't stand........you know, you come back from a full five minutes of commercials after somebody scores, followed by the kickoff which, most of the time, results in a touchback, only to then have to go for ANOTHER full commercial break with ANOTHER five minutes of commercials !! Was SO glad when the NFL FINALLY dumped this policy, and went back to only having ONE full commercial break immediately after a score..... So.........what are your biggest pet peeves when it comes to following/watching any and all sports ?? SAVE FERRIS

The interviews.
Thank God and/or Jesus for being a fan of your team. Say you’re taking it one game at a time. Praise the defense. Fail to answer the dumb question about why you played so well.

Ads. Ads everywhere.
Ads on score bugs, uniforms, fields of play... as a Canadian, I take pride in not knowing WTF Aflac is or what it sells, yet I cannot go a wkend without at least a dozen f'n mentions of it.

I am unusually bothered by sports today. Probably a good thing when I care about my team blew it.

In FOOTball, the ever-increasing concentration of wealth in a few leagues, and in a few clubs within those leagues. Good thing there is still international football.

Football/soccer players who lay down and whine like a bunch of babies because somebody barley touched them.
And its seems like its only men who does it. i did not see a single woman do it during the women`s Euro this summer.
And when they interview athletes after the game or completion, at least with Norwegian sports journalist they always ask the most stupid and idiotic questions.

SAVE FERRIS Isn't the ad blocker for TV called DVR? Maybe indirectly.......but ad blockers work in 'real time', and DVR's don't..... SAVE FERRIS

Not really in any order other than as I think of them:
1. Baseball's "unwritten" rules and pissy players who get upset when those unwritten rules are broken.
2. When your team is owned by a complete dickbag of an owner. I mean, I hate the Redskins, or Commanders, or whatever. They are probably my least favorite team in all of sports. But I do feel for their fans who are stuck with Dan Snyder. What can a fan do? If Snyder owned the Eagles, I don't think I would sell my allegiance to another team, I'd just stop watching at all.
3. Aaron Rodgers's face hasn't gotten any less punchable.
4. National media guys who think they know more about your teams than you and your local sports personalities do.
5. The foul and free throw overload that the last 2 minutes of an NBA half becomes.
I'm sure there's more.

SAVE FERRIS One thing I truly hate and it was started by Fox but now all the networks do it, is the constant shots of people in the stand. I don't need to see someone in the stands every 20 seconds. I'm watching a game, not the fans.
