2022. It's the only Batman live action film where Batman actually felt like a detective. I liked the noir feel and overall really enjoyed it.

Heh, how about that? Two pushes in one day.
Obviously I have a lot more fond memories and nostalgia tied to the 1989 effort.
My parents were so pissed at me when one of my older sisters ratted me out for having seen it opening weekend(jealousy). Those who were young at the time might remember a big parental media push to not take your kids to see this. It may seem tame by today's standards, but it was not looked upon that way when it was released. Area theaters definitely made an effort to not allow anyone under 13 in without an adult. I was lucky enough to be sleeping over at a friend's house whose parents would take him to see anything - his father ended up taking him to see Jason Takes Manhattan later that summer. Anyway, what else are older sisters good for other than being tattle tales? Taught me an early lesson to never tell them a damn thing.
All that said, about 100 minutes into The Batman, I had to admit to myself that this was probably the best Batman film I had ever seen. Unfortunately, shortly after it started to lose some steam in my opinion and got a little too long winded for its own good. All things considered, The Batman was very ambitious and effectively accomplished a lot. I was already weary of how many times Batman needed a reboot, but I walked away very impressed and looking forward to the next chapter of this particular Batman's lifecycle.

The Batman is a great 3hr mini-series pilot episode for me. Ha! I don't think I've heard a better description of the new film. That's exactly what it's like.

The Batman. Pattinson did fantastic. Despite the mask, I could read his emotions which is nearly impossible for an actor to pull off. And I really dig the detective Batman vibe.

Where is the original Batman? Adam West will always be the best. The rest are posers.
