Rey, Black Adam was no worse or better than Black Panther 2. Black Panther 2 was trash lots of identity politics and very little logic to any of the characters in BP2. We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. BP2 wasn't the greatest MCU film for sure, but Black Adam was unwatchable. Black Adam at least had Doctor Fate who was the best part would you agree? Not sure what Black Panther 2 has as a best part. You talk about unwatchable but a girl flying out of a building with rockets was pretty juvenile even for Marvel.

I thought its treatment of Dr. Fate was one of the worst parts of the movie. Everything he did came off as a Doctor Strange knockoff, it convinced me Marvel had made the right choice in going a radical new direction with 'Atlantis' in BP2. Aquaman (though also a lousy movie) had already showcased this undersea kingdom in impressive visual fashion, Marvel couldn't just run it back. Literally everything Fate does, we've already seen Strange do, only better. And they killed him off before really establishing his character in any meaningful way. The audience was just supposed to be excited that the character was there, then he died. Nobody has any backstory, there's just an exposition dump that tells you what characters are present; they all recite awful dialog, have bad screen chemistry, and stumble through an incoherent plot. It's like an episode of Titans. Brosnan as Fate is an inspired casting choice, but he was here and gone before we got a chance to care. Though I agree the Riri Williams character was completely pointless in BP2. She served no purpose to the plot (well, they gave her a specific reason, but any NPC could've served that purpose, they just wanted to cram her into an already crowded film) and her suit looked more like a Power Ranger than Iron Man. BP2 is not without its flaws, to be sure; I just thought it worked as part of a continued narrative much better than the random stuff thrown against a wall in Black Adam. The most enjoyable character in Black Adam is the goofy uncle, that's a serious problem.

Wasn't Doctor Fate created before Strange and yes he did seem a bit too Doctor Strange but that's just because one beat the other to the big screen, Fate used magic in the comics too. The uncle was hilarious totally agree with you that they killed off Doctor Fate too soon and that the Justice Society felt rushed for example how did Hawkman acquire his mansion and his fortune, so many questions.

I have no idea who appeared first in the comics, I'm just saying you can't copy a character or a concept to the extent they did with Fate and expect movie audiences not to notice. For all I know Fate came first in the comics, but Strange came first on screen. They needed to be more creative with his powerset, from a visual perspective at least. Yeah, too much went unexplained. Who is Hawkman, what exactly are his powers? He went toe to toe with Black Adam multiple times! It seems like the film was written specifically for DC comics fans, casuals aren't going to know what the deal is with any of these people. That's what I meant with it feeling like an episode of Titans. You're supposed to be like, "Hey, it's this character," and the excitement will take care of itself. No, you have to give us a reason to be interested in them as characters, not just 'a character who has the power to [insert power].'

Well, bugger. Is it too late for Cavill to go back to playing the Witcher?

DC has come so far since Suicide Squad. "This is Katana. She has my back. I would advise not being killed by her. Her sword traps the souls of its victims." While I was bored by BP2, BA was straight up incompetent trash.
