If John Means comes back, the O's could be spoilers. I think they need another starter or two. The article was right, the bullpen was the big reason for an over .500 record.

I'm still baffled why Camden Yards wasn't soldout during their playoff push this year? Is there something in the tea leaves??

sportsnaut.com/baltimore-orioles-shohei-ohtani-trade-chase/Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Y'all gotta be shitting me? It will cost the O's dearly. And for a probable half year rental. I can't see Orioles ownership signing a $500,000,000-$600,000,000 free agent.
Might make the Birdies a pennant favorite...

Won't be Hader, the pen is fine. if I was the O's (or any other pitching needy team), I'd be all over Eduardo Rodriguez from Detroit. At 30 years old, he's half the age of Verlander. E-Rod is having a nice season and is under control until 2027 (at "only" $39,000,000 owed). And he had postseason experience.

Flaherty is a good pickup.

THIS is suspension worthy???
The Baltimore Orioles’ outrageous treatment of play-by-play announcer Kevin Brown, as detailed by The Athletic’s Britt Ghiroli, is nothing new for the Angelos ownership.
The crazy part about Brown’s absence — the Orioles claim it is not a suspension, even though he has not done a TV broadcast since July 23 — is that he reportedly is in trouble for praising the team, not criticizing it. His “offense” was a remark noting the Orioles have won more games at Tropicana Field against the Tampa Bay Rays this season than in the last two years combined.
That statement qualifies not only as a fact but also as a testament to the Orioles’ turnaround. But John Angelos, Peter’s son and the team’s managing partner, evidently interpreted it as a knock on the team’s previous performance, even though his media relations department’s game notes described similar progress.

There simply has to be more to this, I just can't fathom how he got suspended for saying what he said.

Keep the added gate, ad and merch revenue, pass the costs on to the fans. Nice.

Rutschman is leading the AL in walks. The last time a catcher lead a league in walks? What's wrong with that fella's left cheek? Does he have cancer of the mouth?
