Flop.
People want Black Panther. The real deal. Just recast T'Challa.

Just read that it has already made more than Black Adam. And without featuring a legitimate action star. That's crazy.

I don't know what the juice for this was. I mean, it's probably a very good film, yet in the MCU scheme of things, Phase Four has been lukewarm at best. We haven't seen Black Panther since Endgame's finale, & 2018 is a fair while ago now for the first BP movie proper.
I do know there were film scripts plural written for Chadwick's continuation of the role, & Wakanda Forever not only was chosen as a changeup from that, yet an emotional one to boot. I can give it a pass if it's a good movie. At the very least, here's hoping the MCU f'n puts its big boy pants back on & give it a rest with the juvenile multi-verse cartoon lands.
Besides, expecting a newly crowned Black Panther character or whatever the plan is to be an alpha character for Phase 5 seems a stretch. I think that's where this post-Endgame has been a letdown. It could've/should've been Spider-Man, Thor, Black Panther, Wanda leading the way... not just having them taking 2 steps back for shenanigans.

Strange is by far the best character in the franchise right now.

No Doctor Strange? Beat me to it! Strange is by far the best character in the franchise right now. Yeah, he's there. My brain was harkening to Avengers movies of yore. Dr. Strange was almost a birthday clown in No Way Home, & he's more emcee in Multiverse of Madness. I dunno... I had Tony Stark level expectations for him in Phase 4, & they've turned him into a game show host.

Yo! Black Adam and Black Panther crossover when?! When DC starts making watchable movies featuring nuanced characters. Does Black Adam have a story? All I saw in the trailer were like ten different scenes of Dwayne Johnson being strong. Look at the bullets bounce off him. Look at the crowbar bend over his head. Look at him catch a rocket.

I’m really hoping his third movie does the character and his mythos justice. They’ve already screwed up Mormammu, thrown away Mordo and foolishly given Eternity to Takia to be a crappy macguffin in his goofy ass Thor movie. But… there’s still Nightmare, so hopefully they can use him properly.

No Doctor Strange? Beat me to it! Strange is by far the best character in the franchise right now. They've been sabotaging their main characters. Thor was primed to be the flagship character of phase 4 but they turned him into a joke. Wanda is possibly the best developed female superhero in cinema but they turned her into a villain without much chance of a redemption. Dr. Strange is in a position to be the next "Tony Stark" of the franchise but I get the feeling that he's slowly getting sidelined to shine the spotlight more on the newer Avengers (Kate Bishop, Shuri, America Chavez, etc.). MoM had him playing more of a chauffeur role and the MCU has certainly been in no rush to give him more solo movies. Even Antman has more movies than he does. Spiderman is really the only one from the previous phases that still have his spotlight shining solely on him but that's probably more due to Sony than the MCU. After all, he's really the only bankable superhero that Sony has.

Chavez could’ve come in for Kang Dynasty and Wanda could’ve continued in her own projects. I’m also hoping that they’re secretly fast tracking his third movie so that it can come out before Avengers 5. But that’s probably just wishful thinking.

Overall, Wakanda Forever has earned $401 million at the domestic box office since it premiered in November and will soon surpass the earnings for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($411 million) and has already overtaken the total earnings for Thor: Love and Thunder. This will make the Black Panther sequel the second-highest domestic release of the year behind Top Gun: Maverick.

His son sacrificed himself to save him centuries ago from an evil king then he became Black Adam. To be fair Dwayne Johnson did nothing in the trailers prior to release that Chris Hemsworth hasn't already done in his Thor movies in regards to showing off his strength, Dwayne just did his with less hair.
