I'm actually just realizing now how bad the 80's was.
Looks like you're CLEARLY in the minority.
I absolutely LOVE 80s music.
Sure, there were a couple of songs from that era that weren't so great. However, most (if not ALL) decades of music had these songs.
Sostie said 'today's music IS the worst'? I agree. There are a few songs that I do like. But, most of the others...I can't be bothered.
I'm getting old, I think!

No the worst decade of music is the 2010s I suppose it depends on what genre you prefer. Since I listen to traditional heavy metal, I can say the 2010s have produced many great albums. I probably own more "80s metal from the 21st century" than "80s metal" albums by this point. For example, here are my favorite 2015 rock/metal album releases and 2016 rock/metal album releases.

I believe I posted something somewhat similar. The 2000's up till now has been a ton of awesome metal. As far as other genres of music, I wouldn't have a clue what's out there now because I'm never exposed to it and I don't care.

I have over 150 heavy metal albums that were released in 2000 or later. Now that almost everything is on Youtube, I can be picky and still find lots of great stuff. I probably previewed thousands of albums to find the 150 I actually bought - that's how much metal is out there.

The 80's were the best time for music by far.
It's only ever been downhill since and will continue getting worse.

I'm actually just realizing now how bad the 80's was. I take it you're not a big fan of punk or new wave or metal. The 80's was a phenomenal decade for certain types of music.
