No two loss team has ever made the playoff but if LSU pounds Georgia in the SEC Championship, they just might make it.
LSU made it with two losses in 2007. Billyglenn (Horselover Fat) knows this. LSU suffered two regular-season losses — both in triple overtime — during the 2007 regular season but beat Tennessee in the SEC Championship to earn a spot in the BCS National Championship, where they beat Ohio State. It was a Les Miles the grass eater's team with Matt Flynn at QB.

Looks like Ohio St.'s defense was not championship caliber. Especially the defensive backfield. Their tackling left a lot to be desired.
And, the Ohio St. offense has been suspect to me since the wind and rain game against Northwestern.

We all remember how fucked up the BCS was. But it still gave a shot at the two best teams meeting. I still remember 1983, when there were two undefeated juggernauts, #1 Nebraska and #2 Texas. Because the Huskers were locked into the Orange Bowl and Texas was locked into the Cotton, they couldn't play. Of course, both got beat on New Years Day and Miami won the title.

Yeah, but it was not specified which playoff system it had to be in.

I hope to hell Auburn pulls off an upset and beats Alabama. There are scenarios that put Alabama in the playoff. They were ranked above Clemson. They are #7 in the CFP poll and might go to #6 at least (I think the Buckeyes will plummet after today). #5 if USC stumbles. And if LSU loses to Georgia in the SEC Title game...

I would have loved the BCS in '94 - - get a chance at Nebraska instead of Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

They should be. Clemson and LSU were eliminated Saturday. That leaves the three undefeated, Georgia, Michigan and TCU. And the two one loss teams, USC and Ohio State. USC's loss was by one point on the road to Utah. OSU's was by 22 points at home. Ohio State has beaten two ranked teams, Notre Dame and Penn State while USC has beaten two ranked teams also, Notre Dame and UCLA, But they have another shot at ranked Utah while the Buckeyes regular season is over. The fun begins is some of these teams lose their conference championships. If Michigan loses to Purdue, if TCU loses to K State and if USC loses again to Utah. Georgia is probably in no matter what. If one of these happens, the door opens for Ohio State. If two happens, that opens the door for Alabama or Tennessee. Alabama was ranked #7 in the last Playoff ranking and Tennessee was #10. But who beat who?

Yeah USC is #4 for sure. I'm not interested in chaos, so as much as I hate Harbaugh, I hope the favorites win the conference championship games. Everyone knows I'm a proponent of an expanded playoff, but at the moment I think it's clear these are the best four teams.

I don't think Ohio State deserves a berth after yesterday. Yes, they lost to a tougher team that USC did but they didn't lose, they got their asses kicked. And there's no fucking way i want to see Alabama in the playoff.

Utah goes on a 47-7 tear to crush USC. Well, this sure makes things interesting. And here I thought the playoff would be straightforward this season.

#1 Georgia v. #4 Alabama #2 Michigan v. #3 Ohio State
To me, that has all the appeal of root canal.
