The Maltese Falcon ! 1941 vs 1931 The 1931 version was pre-code and played up the homosexuality between the two villains, but Huston’s movie is far better.

I prefer the 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers over the 1956 original.

True Lies is arguably better than the French original.

The Thing, The Fly, Planet of the Apes, It, Dredd, Cape Fear - there's a ton at this point.
On the TV side, Bates Motel and BSG come to mind.

Also, I much prefer the 1952 Prisoner of Zenda over the 1937 movie.

I’m almost sure that I’ll be met with unanimous disagreement but I LOVE the 1983 remake of BREATHLESS with Richard Gere. It’s one of my guilty pleasures. The acting is questionable but it’s just so much fun to watch that I have to say that, personally, it’s better than the original.

Ben Hur. Yessir. I like that boy Heston. First one ain’t got no sound neither. Based on a book, though, so not really a remake. Both films were based on the same book.

Scarface 1983 is better Scarface 1932. The remake is one of the most iconic films ever made. It's a part of pop culture. Not a lot of people even talk about the 1932 original. The Ten Commandments 1956 is the better than The Ten Commandments 1923. Heston and Brynner FTW. Again, the remake is one of the most iconic films ever made. Not a lot of people care about the 1923 original. Probably a minority opinion but I preferred 1990 Night of the Living Dead over 1968 Night of the Living Dead. I found the remake more atomspheric and better acted. 2004 Dawn of the Dead over 1978 Dawn of the Dead. Zak Snyder's movie is just badass. 2006 The Departed is better than 2002 Infernal Affairs. The remake makes the original seem like amateur crap. You can't go wrong with DiCaprio, Nicholson, Damon, Wahlberg, Sheen, Winstone etc under the direction of Scorsese. Infernal Affairs is waaaay better than The Departed. The ending of the Departed is absolute cornsy trafh. And Ray Winstone is bloody terrible. Infernam Affairs gives way more character depth

Every bit of intelligent storytelling in Infernal Affairs was dumbed down and held the audiences hand in The Departed. It's not a very good film.
Even Scorsese has made some average films you know.

It doesn't matter what anybody days, movies are always going to be subjective. Stop trying to act as if movies are objective. So in my subjective opinion, The Departed is the better movie. You saying otherwise isn't going to change my opinion.

I'm just highlighting why you're wrong, otherwise there would be no point in this internet forum or any internet forum existing.

Who are you to decide what's right and what's wrong? Just because someone doesn't have the same opinion as you do doesn't mean they are wrong. You sound ignorant as hell. Having a different opinion doesn't make me wrong. We all have different tastes. That's why movies are always going to be subjective. The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things. You arrogant tool.

Give up, Nostromo. It is 2 against 1. You cannot beat Mulder AND Scully single-handed.

Like Eugene Tooms, I've been squeezed into oblivion. I had to Google him. I was guessing one of the original signatories of the US constitution.
