On this matter, I make a sort of game out of it. I will routinely search for things I don't particularly care about, giving the AIs a misguided record of my personal interests to work with.
I don't fish, but I will search for fishing products and how-to videos. I don't skydive, but I will surf skydiving content. Nor do I surf...you get the idea.
Governments and corporations aren't the only ones who get to toy with misinformation/disinformation. If my information is valuable enough for them to collect but enough not pay for...I will give them their money's worth.
It's fun, it's informative and feeds the insatiable curiosity about the world...all while exploiting the ineptitudes in the systems built to exploit us.
If you choose to dabble in this game, I suggest avoiding major professional sports you have no interest in.

Somehow Google Assistant popped up on Catman's tablet and asked, "What can I do for you today?" Startled, Catman said, "What the hell is this?" The reply was quite weird: "I'm a virtual assistant, but your words are still very real. Please keep them respectful."
The attempt at guilt-tripping did not work on Catman. Took a while, but he managed to get the damn thing disabled again.
