I fancy having something simple today, so I'm doing baked potatoes later this evening. Marge and pepper. Nice and simple, but delicious.
Maybe knock up a quick bit of onion, mushroom, and savoy cabbage curry on the side.
Always a bit of a gamble doing baked potatoes for supper... They take so long to cook, sometimes I'll go to sleep/pass out with the drink before the timer is up. Then wake up/ come round for a Lillian Gish in the early hours of the morning to a charcoally smell, and lumps of what are now coal still burning in the oven.

Something from Mrs. Lovett's pie shop. I picked up the DVD movie adaptation of Sweeney Todd (2006) with Ray Winstone in it a wee while back in a charity shop for 10 bob. I really enjoyed it.

I remember that one being OK, but having a very semi-cheap British TV feel about it. Lots of guazey software focus and cheap TV cameras, if my recollection is accurate. But I recall liking the whole cast; Ray Winstone, Essie Davis, and David Warner. It's a very grim take on that old story. Much better than the Ben Kingsley TV movie, but nothing on Sondheim.

Yeah, it's not quite horror... But the cast do a good job of the 'understandable' dark descent in to madness theme. The characters are very sympathetic, if you know what I mean.

Been eating leftover fish and Italian food since Christmas. My parent's visit comes to an end tomorrow as they head back to Florida. Weather isn't frigid and they wanted simple hamburgers and hot dogs. What they want, they get so I'll be firing up the grill!

What? The people in the Highlands and Islands never have an evening meal? Are they mogwai, that mustn't be fed after dark or something?

I baked a ham on Sunday, so I will be making a meal with ham.
Maybe ham and eggs??
Or macaroni and cheese with ham?

If dinner is tea, then what do they call afternoon tea? The graph works for me in Scotland i.e. I call my main meal "dinner". Have it between 4pm and 5pm. Lunch at around noon to one-ish. Afternoon tea is something they serve in restaurants - sandwiches, cream scones and fancy cakes.
