If Islam were proven to be true, would you become a Muslim?

If Islam were proven to be true, would you become a Muslim? Make a thread about it and I’ll answer. For now please don’t divert the thread topic, bro.

Would you become a Christian? What exactly would have been proven true? And how was it/were those things proven?

You're asking non-believers of Christianity (implied by your use of "become a Christian") if they would change their mind upon proof. I'm presuming that you're a Christian, so I think it's fair (and might be useful to yourself) to ask you the related question, reframed so you have the point of view of a non-believer. I'm generalizing the question, but still on topic.

Assuming Hell exists under this version of the Christian god? At that point I wouldn't really have much of a choice. Good thing there's no actual evidence for the Christian god (or any god). I suspect your peddling Pascal's Wager (which is complete bunk).

If I have enough proof to convince me that something is true, then I have no choice but to believe it.

Why would you need to know that before answering the question?

Who wouldn't believe something that is proven to be true?

Who wouldn't believe something that is proven to be true? Well there is a difference between believing something and actually practicing it and doing what it says. Believe it or not a lot of skeptics answer no to this question.

Bro, it’s just a hypothetical. Those details aren’t really relevant. The point is if it were proven true, would you follow/practice it?

Your reply might have been a little fairer if you’d attempted an actual answer to my question before flipping it back onto me. It’s a bit like you asking “Do you like beef burgers?” And me responding “do you like chicken burgers?” It’s a bit intellectually dishonest.

Do you think this speaks a bit about where your motivations lay and personal bias on the topic?

Even if the claims of Christianity were proven to be true, it would still be up to the individual whether they want to follow its teachings.

Are non-believers dismissive simply because they remain unconvinced by the evidence or is there a preconceived personal bias at play and they just don’t want to submit to the teachings of the faith and do what thou wilt? Maybe it’s a combination of the two in some cases?

"It seems even if it were proven you would become a Christian very reluctantly, and only to escape hell." What other reason would there be? BTW that's actually the case for many Christians as well. Why do you think a lot of churches play up the "fire and brimstone" angle? It's easier to get people to follow a faith when if they're threatened with the punishment of eternal damnation.
