Gee. It couldn't have anything to do with the turmoil between upper management, the head coach and QB could it?
Couldn't have anything to do with Wentz missing the next 2 playoffs could it? Him getting knocked out and our QB was Josh McCown vs. Seattle.
Couldn't have anything to do with there's 31 other teams in the NFL could it?
Couldn't be once you're in the playoffs you're facing other good teams could it?Nah - couldn't be any of that. We were just a 1 hit wonder and a fluke How is any of this an argument? Listing the reasons you think your team couldn't sustain their success doesn't change the fact they were not as successful since their Super Bowl victory. All this stuff about, "Hey we were in the playoffs, we had a shot." But you didn't get back to the top of the mountain. Didn't even make the conference championship game in those years. This has become your Sixers argument all over again. "We have good players. We were in contention." You didn't come close. Making the Divisional round is not the same as winning the title, unfortunately. And the comment I put in red font. Holy shit. This is a new low even for you. Your excuse there are other teams?! "Hey, we would've been the best team if we were the only team!" That's the dumbest comment I've seen in quite some time. Congrats Frogs, I'm officially out on this conversation. Unfortunately this is the world we live in today People take a positive (like winning the Super Bowl) and sh*t on it Haters gonna hate People take a positive - like having the best record in the NFL this year - and sh*t on it by stating we're 'lucky' Haters gonna hate

The entirety of his career says otherwise, but ok. Well that’s just it? He had 2 good years and the rest of his career was garbage. But does that mean his performance in the Super Bowl was just luck? As my post before this one says - this is where everybody starts getting into using their own qualifiers. Which is why I’m not a fan of arguments about flukes. It’s way to open to too much subjectivity. Yes, LOL. That's literally the reason. Foles is a backup who caught lightning in a bottle. He's never played a full season, has only passed for more than 20 TDs once, and beat the best QB amd franchise of all time.

Replace the term "fluke" with "one-hit wonder." The Eagles won the Super Bowl, yet come the following postseason, nobody (other than Eagles fans) really believed they'd do it again. Why? Because once again their QB got hurt and everyone knew Foles wasn't going to repeat what he did the previous year. Getting into the playoffs as a #6 seed and beating Matt Nagy's Bears thanks to Parkey's double-doink didn't convince anyone otherwise. That's kinda the difference between the Eagles and essentially all those other SB winners Frogs (weirdly) listed. Those teams were contenders and built to remain that way for multiple years ahead. Go back and look at every Super Bowl winner from the starting point Frogs began (2005 Steelers). Almost every one of them went back to the Super Bowl or conference championship within a few years while retaining the same core. After winning it all, the Eagles were never really seen as serious contenders by most fans until literally this year - essentially a new team with a completely new system, new QB, new coach even if they retained a few key names in the trenches. Was that the plan back in 2018? "This success isn't over - we're going to be pretty mediocre for a few years then replace the most important people involved with the team and we'll be right back!" I love the negative mentality of a lot of sports fans We only won 1 title - we were a 1 hit wonder (fluke)!Instead of celebrating the moment you in turn are a Negative Nelly and glass half empty type of fan - which sadly describes the mentality of some fans - always focusing on the negative - not celebrating the positive

Easiest road to the SB ever for a team. Bye. Giants. Josh Johnson. Now we’ll have to listen to a bunch of jabber for two weeks about how the 2022 Eagles are part of the same dynasty-building era as the 2017 team, even though they have about 6 players in common.

Another Eagles failure cements 2017 as a one-hit wonder. Now Jason Kelce is retiring, one of the last members of that core, while Sirianni was promptly exposed as a buffoon a year after a Super Bowl trip.

Including the playoffs, they'd been 26-5 since the beginning of last season before the crash and burn.
The stink goes well above the coach. In Dallas as well.
Who the hell hires Matt Patricia?

He should go to the San Diego Chahgahs.
