Why didn't she know Picard in 2024?
In the episode "Time's Arrow", Guinan met Picard in 1893, when the crew also met Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain)...
She should have known him... and said, "Why are you here this time?"
Could it have something to do with Q altering the timeline, and Alien Hunter Picard never went back in time to 1893 to meet her, thus creating an Alternate 2024, which our Picard went to?
In "Time's Arrow", Guinan tells Picard to go back to 1893... or that they would never meet in the 24th century... So did they still meet like they were supposed to in the original timeline?
Yeah, I know, it's just a show, and thinking about this kind of stuff gives us all a headache... I'm just curious, that's all.
Anyone else wonder about this?

It's a lot worse that what I originally thought...
Thanks to Q... The entire future beyond 2024 is changed and there is no Federation.
Picard and crew don't go back to 1893 and meet Guinan... The crew also doesn't stop the life draining Aliens. Who knows what would have happened if they had continued....
(Maybe these events had no effect on History since the changes were fixed in the same episodes, but who knows...)
McCoy & Kirk don't go back in time to the 1930s and meet Edith Keeler.
The Enterprise doesn't go back to 1967 and encounter Captain John Christopher
The Enterprise doesn't go back to 1968 and encounter Gary Seven.
The Roswell UFO Event didn't happen in 1947... Quark didn't take Nog to Starfleet academy.
The Voyager crew doesn't cause Captain Braxton to travel to 1967 and Henry Starling doesn't start the micro-computer revolution.
Kirk and Crew don't go back to 1986 in a Klingon Bird of Prey to save George and Gracie from extinction, and stop the Whale Probe in 2286... And what about that Transparent Aluminum?
Also, The USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier... What effect did Chekov have on history, by being there?
And the old lady who got a new kidney, thanks to Doctor McCoy... Did she die? How did her death or life affect history?
Sisko doesn't travel to 2024... ALSO 2024?... and become Gabriel Bell, to interact with "The Bell Riots"... Not sure if Sisko just repaired history or if He, Bashir, and Dax also affected it in anyway...
The Borg?
April 05, 2063... The Borg don't interfere with Zefram Cochrane's Warp Flight, which is fine, but there is no Sphere debris or Frozen Borg left on Earth, for Archer's crew to have encounter... There is no Signal sent to the Delta Quadrant...
In 2293, the Enterprise B, may not have rescued El-Aurian refugees from when the Borg destroyed their homeworld... Who knows what happened with Guinan & Dr. Soren... (That's assuming the Whale Probe didn't destroy the planet in 2286.)
Without putting two and two together... The Hanson's didn't travel to the Delta Quadrant in search of the Borg... Annika is saved from Assimilation and becoming 7of9... (That actually works for Picard season 2)...
Q never properly introduced the Federation to the Borg...
So, How did those on Earth learn about the Borg, destroy their race, and capture a Queen?
Oh, and what happened with V'Ger when it came back to Earth in the 23rd century?
Did the alternate Kirk stop it? If not, then who did?
I am sure that I am leaving out many other time travel stories that affected Earth's past... But, my point is...
What Q did in 2024 should have destroyed all of history... and there really shouldn't have been an Alternate 24th Century for Picard and Crew to exist in... Actually, Picard shouldn't have been born on a destroyed Earth at all.
One even more interesting thing to note...
Why did the Punk Rocker on the Bus in 2024, remember what Spock did to him in 1986... If the whale saving mission never happened, because the Federation never existed?

The more you think about it, the more it hurts the head. I'm curious if the writers try to invent different versions of how these events played out, or if they decide to leave it to the fans' imaginations.
