There's people posting here who've seen David Bowie, the Stones, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, the Gradteful Dead, all sorts of legends (and newer greats), in some cases on countless occasions.
But I don't recall anyone here admitting to seeing Elton John.
Have you ever witnessed Elton John in concert (or at a bus stop or at a sporting event)?
Thanks!

Me, I've never seen Elton John performing, or met him in person. I just spin a few records from time to time!

Yeah, I've seen him live.
At the Hop Farm in 2004, and I wasn't the biggest fan of his at that time.
I had just got back to the UK after a year away in Africa, and my cousin gave me a free ticket, as she was in charge of the corporate catering that evening.
Boy, did he put on a show! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn't help but be converted. I was kinda slack-jawed!
Then afterwards, I found myself sitting next to Roger Cook, from 'The Cook Report', who was on crutches, due to partaking in some reality TV show where he slipped. I had no idea as I had literally just got back to the UK the day before, which I think he quite appreciated, because all anyone wanted to do was badger him about it, whereas we just chatted about Africa for an hour.
All in all, a memorable evening.

No. Just in whatever random film cameo he has. Like in Kingsman: The Golden Circle of all things...

Yes, I saw Elton John in concert when I was in my early teens. What’s funny is that it was supposed to be his last tour, and that was decades ago.

Yes. Saw him at Shea Stadium around 1992-ish? Split bill with Eric Clapton. Pretty sure Clapton came out to jam on a song or two, maybe “Funeral For A Friend”?

This was probably a good year to see Elton John to my mind, with the release of the intriguing 'Peachtree Road' (2004).
So glad you had a good time. Being an old school entertainer at heart, I know he wants everybody to have a good time.

I heard he was in the 'Kingsman' franchise. I also heard that David Bowie was in the 'High School Musical' franchise.

Wow, that must have been a blast. Seems like he just can't say that final goodbye to the yellow brick road ... they say his first farewell tour announcement was delivered in 1973!

Okay, so this is going to sound like a 'Curb Your Enthsiasm' episode, but I have 'Crocodile Rock' PTSD. Back in the 90's I worked at Thorpe Park, and the worst show to be in charge of was the animatronics clap-along show. You'd open the doors, let the audience settle, press play for the robots, lead the clapping, release the audience, shut the doors, sit in silence on your own, as the 'tronics reversed themselves ready to play again for the next audience, every hour on the hour for the whole day. That was enough to test anyone's sanity!

There is a remedy (if not a cure). Just take this pill at irregular intervals ... worked wonders for me (and him)!

Nope, he loves his football, put some money where his mouth was. Deserves respect.

No, never made it to one of Reg's shows. He was never really my cup on tea. Other than Tiny Dancer, I could take or leave his music. And he only played here once. I would have liked to see that one, as it was the tour with Billy Joel. For some reason, I didn't go. I think the ticket prices were outrageous, but I could be wrong.

Surely no great loss if you're not really in to the music. Especially as Billy Joel does 'Tiny Dancer' live. But did you get to see Joel another time?
Billy Joel with Little Jimmy Scott, Sting & Elton John
Yeah, seen Joel twice. Joel's drummer broke a stick and chucked into the audience. I don't know what possessed me but I flatted some skinny girl to get it. Not my proudest concert moment
