The Odd Couple (the Klugman-Randall series)
A lot of people would say MASH. I liked the movie more but I'm not a huge fan of either.

The Incredible Hulk (1977) I have to agree with you up to a point... I love that TV Show and it's better than anything else that I have seen... But some of the other posters have raised some questions for me... The Movie? When you say, "THE", Do You mean... A TV Show that is a sequel to a Movie... Like: Stargate & Stargate SG-1... A Movie that is a sequel to a TV Show... Like: Star Trek: The Motion Picture & Star Trek TV Shows VS Movie... Like: The Incredible Hulk (1977) VS The Incredible Hulk (2008) And THE? Movie?... There was also: Ang Lee's Hulk (2003). (Neither movie is a sequel to the TV Show.) There are so many different TV Shows & Movies and with multiple continuities these days, that's not an easy question to answer... I just find it hard to compare the different media continuities in the various franchises... In some cases it's like comparing apples and oranges... And neither is better, just different. Just looking for some clarification to be able to answer the question how you want us to. For me... I hated Ang Lee's Hulk (2003)... I enjoyed The Incredible Hulk (2008)... But, I loved The Incredible Hulk (1977) However, there were some aspects of the 2008 movie that enjoyed more than the TV show... I suspect, if the 2008 was done as a sequel to the tv show, I may have liked it even more, and possibly, I might have considered it to have been "better".

I preferred "Get Smart" the TV show to the movie Get Smart (2008). That said however, I did enjoy the movie which I saw for the first time this past Friday.

The Phil Silvers Show (a.k.a.) You’ll Never Get Rich (1955-1959), was a well-loved and classic sit-com. The movie from the TV show, “Sgt Bilko” (1996), was a real dud.
My parents were very fond of “McHale’s Navy” (1962-1966). Like “Sgt Bilko,” the 1997 movie (also “McHale’s Navy”), it dropped like an anchor in the ocean.
And while we’re at it, the long running sit-com “Bewitched” (1974-1976) had its modern movie remake as “Bewitched” (2005), but not even the presence of Nicole Kidman could save it from movie purgatory.

Avatar: The Last Airbender. I just saw the movie for the first time on Saturday, January 21. I've never seen the show, but I heard that the TV series was better. Given the movie's horrible reputation, I wasn't expecting much, so I thought it was OK. But I feel bad for fans of the show who eagerly anticipated this film, and paid full price to see it. Thankfully I saw it as part of a science fiction marathon, so my per film cost was only $1.88.

Maybe the casting was jarring, but there wasn't anything else that raised eyebrows from what I recall.
