Has anyone watched That '90s Show? If so, what did everyone think?
I liked it. I thought it had a good balance between the original characters and the new ones. I wish they could have had all the characters reunite in the first episode though. I'm looking forward to season 2.

I need to watch it. I watched "That 70's Show" as a teenager. But the acting from the kids was cringey from the clips I've seen. Like Disney Channel or Nickelodeon level of acting.

So I’m halfway through season 1, but I’m honestly kinda loving it. The original cast did not miss a beat. They all stepped back into their roles really well. They are doing a great job recapturing the feel of the original series. My biggest apprehension after watching the pilot was the new cast. I wasn’t sure they had it, but by episode 5 they have all pretty quickly won me over. If you’re a fan of the original definitely check this out.

It was cute, and it’s incredible how seamlessly the old cast stepped back into their roles.
I do hope they elaborate on what exactly happened to the gang over the 80’s but understand that they want the focus to be on the kids.

I'm three episodes in. Like others have said, the older cast still have it, but I'm iffy on the newer members. I don't suppose it was inherently a bad idea centering on 90s kids (although these ones feel more Zoomers than Gen X), and the main girl (Leia) is okay and the actress does a good job of combining elements of both Eric and Donna into her personality, but the rest just aren't very funny and lack chemistry, and I find myself glazing off until the OG show up.

It was a lot funnier than I expected. I laughed out loud to something in every episode. 10 episodes is pretty weak though. We're not talking Game of Thrones here. They could've made 20 episodes.

In general I’m almost always in the less is more category. But this is definitely one of those times where I’ll agree they could have done more episodes. Hopefully Netflix renews it for a second season and ups the episode count.

Honestly, it's one of the better reboots. I'll keep walking.

Also, I hope whatever is going on with Kurtwood Smith isn't serious, but it certainly seems real and written in.

It's also kind of lame that all the new kids are basically just stand-ins for the original characters, with him being Fez 2.0

Yeesh....10 was more than enough IMO. I didn't hate it, but like I figured, it wasn't necessary. I really hope this doesn't go more than 3-4 seasons max.

Most Netflix series really don’t run much longer than that. I think it would be a really unique situation if they end up doing more than 5 seasons. In general I’m almost always for less episodes per season when it comes to quality of stories. I think this is one of the exceptions though where they can do some more. 10 episodes actually felt kinda short to me. I think there are more scenarios and arcs they can create for the characters within a season. I also liked how they kinda stuck to 22 minutes per episodes. That’s a good running time for it. They don’t need to be 30 or more minutes each. I hope that stays the same in season 2.

Okay seems best to describe it. They did a good job of blending the old and the new and staying away from what That's 80's Show did. It's a tough sell for me as That 70's Show was one of my favorite comedies, if not my all time favorite. Hell, my teen years was that 70's Show, we just did out circles in a friend's garage (any of our parents would have smelled a "circle" in the basement in five seconds).
I've actually seen a couple comment boards thinking Danny Masterson's coming back for S2. Ummm, I doubt it, unless "That 90's Show Goes to Prison" is a spinoff. The show could bring back some 90's TV icons. One of the brilliant things 70's Show did was casting 70's TV icons in roles opposite of what they played. Marion Ross as an obnoxious mother in law (exact opposite of Marion Cunningham), Tim Reid as a money grubbing tycoon (exact opposite of Venus FlyTrap). As long as they don't bring Randy back. Gaaa

A question for those who watched
Was Betsy Kelso, Kelso and Brooke's daughter from That 70's Show ever mentioned? I might have missed it

As long as they don't bring Randy back. Gaaa They can bring him back for one scene (where he gets hit by a bus).
