Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas
It can barely even be called a movie as much as just offensive propaganda. It feels more like the afterschool special from Hell. It is 1 hour of Kirk Cameron's character trying to convince a cynic that everything about Christmas is derived from Jesus, even the Capitalism of the holiday as it is celebrated in the U.S. Then the last 20 minutes is filler with the family dancing. It is a mystery who the movie is even made for, aside from Kirk Cameron's own ego. You had me at Kirk Cameron. Nothing more need be added to make it literally God-awful . It really does sound like an abomination. Jesus pushing crapitalism with the aid of Kirk...makes the brain turn to aluminum just trying to imagine it.

Seeing mention of some of these faith-based clunkers made me recall (unfortunately) a dud I'd seen: It's beyond me how the parties responsible for this steaming pile managed to rope Harry Anderson on board, unless he was beyond desperate for the money. Worst of it is, it was the final screen performance he gave before his untimely death. Which this film may have helped hasten.

Trying to judge what makes a bad film. If you tried to make a movie without taking the cap off the camera lens, wouldnt that qualify? If so, then none of the films mentioned in this thread are the worst.
That said, I just wasted two hours watching Performance with Mick Jagger.

It sounds pretty straightforward, but I'm thinking there have to be different levels of bad, because I'm seeing SOME bad, but very few here actually fit WORST bad.
Now for many years, popular opinion says Highlander 2: The Quickening would've fallen under 'worst', until Highlander: The Source came out, The Source is so bad, The Quickening now looks like Back to the Future.
And a constant question about any other BAD movie, is it AS bad as The Source? There have been a few worse, but not many, not that I actively sought out to watch. But a close second to it would be Dead Shack, COULD have been a cool kickass zombie horror movie, just so painfully bad and stupid you want the kids to die too just because they're annoying and stupid as hell.
There have been others, some real cheapos I found at Dollar Tree, one I think was just called The Cabin, or something like that, troubled couple going on a weekend trip by the lake next door to a serial killer...these are ones that are so bad, you can put the captions on, fastforward it, not have to listen to the dialogue, etc., and literally not miss anything because the dialogue is all shit.
Juno, stupid as hell and annoying, I know everybody here will disagree, but them's the facts.
Napoleon Dynamite, what the hell?
Four Christmases, if you read the trivia piece on IMDb that Vince Vaughn said it's to remind us of the fun we have with our families at Christmas...hmmm, must've missed that 'fun' scene somewhere.
Transformers: Rise of the Fallen, saw it with my nephews, not my choice, NOT Transformers, 80s Transformers will kick these movies' ass any day of the week.

Wow......I don't know that I could answer this one, even if my life depended on it. And part of the problem is I watch A LOT of bad movies PURPOSELY (HUGE fan of MST3K !!), hoping to find those 'so bad they're GREAT'-type films.....along the lines of one of my FAVORITE bad films of all time, Showgirls (1995)......and leading me to wonder if a film can TRULY be considered "bad", if it falls into the category of so bad it's GOOD (movies like Birdemic (2010) and The Room (2003) would also qualify)..... .....though not to be confused with CRAP like this, that's just bad: OLD (2021) SAVE FERRIS

Sausage Party is brutal.
That movie where the kid falls into water, which is a portal to another world, and there's Teenage Mutant Turtle knockoffs (kangaroos).

Not counting movies that I stopped watching because they were just not worth my time, I think I have to go with Movie 43, the episodical “comedy” from a few years ago that in spite of its fantastic cast is just crap.

The Three Stooges acted like idiots and people love them. Most of the comedy done by Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton was juvenile as hell and both of them are revered. Laurel and Hardy had childish humor and people love them. Comedy has most of the time been silly. I enjoyed Tag. It was a different concept and I thought it was funny. A person's taste in movies doesn't reflect on their intelligence. You're not intellectually superior to anyone because of your taste in movies. Anybody who says otherwise is a retard. You are correct. Whether a movie is good is very subjective. Everybody likes different things. If you like Tag (2018), maybe you should check out Walk of Shame (2014), The Last Days on Mars (2013), Red Dot (2021) and 3022 (2019). None of these movies got a 1 on IMDB. Somebody liked them.

Then again, I watch a lot of bad movies. I haven't even heard of Red Dot or 3022. Other movies in contention for the worst movie I have ever seen are Resident Evil: Retribution, Scary Movie V, Cannibal Holocaust, Piranha 3DD, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: The Last Knight, Knock Knock, A Haunted House, The Gingerdead Man, Shark Exorcist, Battleship, House of the Dead, Neon Maniacs, Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, Sleeping Beauty (2011), Sucker Punch, Mausoleum, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, The Roommate, Grown Ups 2, Jaws: The Revenge, The Haunted Mansion, Howling IV: The Original Nightmare, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, BloodRayne, Son of the Mask, Meet the Spartans, Blood Diner, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

As a horror movie fan who has seen A LOT of bad ones, it would be far too easy to just pick a bad horror movie as the worst movie I've ever seen. So I'll just choose a regular mainstream Hollywood movie, and that one is Nothing But Trouble (1991). This is an excruciating comedy with a star-studded cast that includes Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, John Candy and Dan Akroyd. I only saw it once a long time ago, but I certainly remember it being beyond horrible and very painful to watch. A complete waste of good talent.

Birds of Prey. I hated every second and everything about it. I tried watching Birds of Prey, because I'm a big Margot Robbie fan. But it was so boring, I kept falling asleep.

I guess having some mix-up nostalgia memories, due to often mistaking it for Beetlejuice (1987) because I never got to see either of the films, all the way through. But yeah, childhood and usually likeable names as John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, might help me to overlook certain things, but having just purchased and seen Haunted Honeymoon (1986) with Gene Wilder and Dom DeLuise, wow, that was bad, really awful "comedy", which at times reminded me of Nothing But Trouble. Probably seeing so many talents going to waste, as it was painfully unfunny, and such a letdown, because I really wanted to get more out of it, that and the 2022 DVD version, was very pricy.
