This Oscar-nominated actress played a real-life person in a film and is cast as a fictional character in an upcoming film. The real-life woman was reportedly the inspiration for the fictional one. Who is the actress, and what are the two film roles?
(Reworded from an earlier trivia question which wasn't answered).

First desperate guess:
Cate Blanchett
1) As Katharine Hepburn in THE AVIATOR
2) As a Hepburn inspiration in TAR (from WOMAN OF THE YEAR type role)

I want to say Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate in ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. But I can’t see an upcoming Robbie film character based on Tate. Unless it’s BARBIE.

Angela Bassett was nominated for playing Tina Turner in What's Love Got To Do With It. But, I can't find anything on a film that would seem to have Turner as an inspiration.
Bassett was also nominated, yesterday, for Tar.

I thought the "Sharom Tate: More Than a "Doll'" thread would mention this. After Ms. Tate appeared in the film Don't Make Waves as a character named "Malibu," the Barbie doll was redesigned more closely to resemble Tate--hair, outfits, etc. The doll was even named "Malibu Barbie." It's widely believed that this wasn't just coincidence, but that the doll's new look was directly inspired by Tate's role and her appearance in ads of the time.

What, you don't know your Barbie dolls?! And as an additional bit of trivia, G.I. Joe dolls were invented for little boys who swiped their sisters' Barbie dolls and played and slept with them because they wanted dolls, too. Once again, Ken was left out in the cold.

Once again, Ken was left out in the cold. Really cold, I guess. That would explain....you know.
