It is not bad.
I need a ring spanner, but can't figure out if it is 6mm or 8mm. But the pair of them only cost £3.96 so I ordered both. So that is a plus.
On the other hand, not all the robots talk to each other. I got a new credit card over a year ago but Amazon has still not twigged so I have to enter the details with every purchase. Ditto with the mobile phone, although I sometimes feel that Tesco would be happier being paid in gold guineas than via this new fangled electric internet thingy.
And I am currently trying to close my account with Virgin Media and can't because Old Pickles wants everything except my parts number, so I suppose that I will eventually have to cancel my Direct Debit, which I don't want to do because it seems a bit rude, but needs must as the saying goes.
By and large, I am not bothered. Most of dealings are painless, the internet is cheap and to be honest, I don't mind being a bit below the radar.

Bought one of those robot vacuum thingies ... it could not handle old uneven floors, several doors into rooms, furniture here and there and rugs not 100% flat and unpuckered ... luckily Amazon sometimes takes things back with no hassle and they made good the refund.

A couple of weeks ago, I was in a shopping mall that I hadn't visited for a couple of years. I saw a restaurant that new, to me, and was glass-enclosed.
I saw a thing moving across the floor. it was round, and about a foot taller that an average fire hydrant. While the "front" (the direction in which it was moving), was round and solid, the "back" had what looked like little shelves. The top shelf had what looked like a tall glass of water on it. It rolled up to a table, with one man sitting at it. It turned around, and the diner took the glass. The thing, retreated.
Another thing came along, carrying 3 glasses, and moved to a table with 3 diners. They took their glasses, and the thing retreated.
I didn't see things delivering any food. And, kind of doubt that the 3 small glasses had any alcohol in them. California is pretty touchy on all manner of liquor laws.
So far, I've never been served by a thing.

Oh, this has been going on since at least the 1980s.
Including even in Hazzard County.

That is a highly erroneous assertion. Is that supposed to be one of your human jokes? Android Americans are just a myth. Or are they called Automatons of Sentience now? I can't keep track.
