Catbro left his cats with Catmom and Catdad when he moved out west. Whenever he'd come home for a visit, TC would implore him to make a lap and would sit there purring until Catbro had to use the toilet.

For sure. It doesn’t take long either. I had mine for about a month and then took him to get neutered. When I came back to pick him up, despite being drowsy from the knockout drugs, he immediately recognized me through the glass window and started meowing.

How Long Can a Cat Remember a Person? How long can a cat remember a person? If you only have one interaction with a cat, she’s likely to remember you up to 16 hours later. However, a cat’s long term memory is quite strong (about 200 times better than that of a dog). This means that a cat can remember someone they are familiar with for years. Long-term cat memoryCats have excellent long-term memories. Studies show that it is around 200 times better than that of dogs. Cats have been known to retain information for up to 10 years but are highly selective about what they remember. In short, they will only recall what benefits them mybritishshorthair.com/how-long-can-a-cat-remember-a-person/

Yep. Years ago we thought someone in our family was alergic, so we donated back a cat. A week later to visit, recognized us through the glass... probably not a great move for a kid's memory bank lols. I'm sure she found a good home, & it wasn't emotional so much as an eye opener for me that yep, cats have brains. She couldn't have scented us through the glass.
