Even the eternally young gets old! What I especially like about Clint (or as we said in Sweden: Clintan Clijntajn) is how he nowdays weavers between serious and public firendly, personal and touching to the tough and hard. Growing up, Clint was the ultimate of toughness (compared to Burt Reynolds more jovial persona) www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn8YubD01sk and www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WkqnFe9XsI are too different Clints (the latter a fav of my mother, back in the mixed tapes days) Unlike Charles Bronson Clint Eastwood's rise to fame was quick, via Italy and 3 movies by Sergio Leone and very much helped by Ennio Morricone's music. It's also interesting to follow Clint's hairdo, from very high to nearly nearly flat, LOL nowdays. Though it is entertaining to hear Frankie Laine singing Rolling Rolling, I made the mistake by bying a box of early episodes of Rawhide episodes, where Clint is just nearly a background figure. If Gran Torino would have been his last acting role, it would have bean a great farewell to his loyal fans, stubborn, tightlipped but fair with a bit of humour, and then he made a baseball movie... though the movie was OK, baseball means nothing in many markets. Then he made Bird a non-linear movie about Charlie Parker The super romantic The Bridges of Madison County with Maryl Steep So looking around what Clint has done since 1955, it's very different, versatile, changing, but never uninteresting, OK there is a few Duds there. My earlist Clint seen on cinama was Firefox, and what a dud. .

"Go ahead. Make my day!" would not be one of the best quotes if not said by Clint Eastwood.
