For those who don't know about the show. It's a Rian Johnson creation, and comes in on the heels of the Knives Out Movies. It stars Natasha Lyonne as the main character who now works as a cocktail waitress in a casino, after being blacklisted everywhere because she was able to rake in poker games just by telling if somebody was lying or not. Now she puts her abilities to solving crimes.
Just gonna say it's an ace show. It's mostly crime of the week, but love Natasha Lyonne's character in this.

I’m not a huge fan of the crime of the week format, but the promos have looked appealing. I’ll probably check out the pilot at least.

Of the four episodes currently available, I've experienced an "odds and evens" thing. The odd-numbered episodes, I've quite enjoyed. The even-numbered ones, I've felt were "meh". I really dig Lyonne in this role.

I really dig Lyonne in this role. That’s kinda an issue I have with case of the week shows. There will be some good ones, but then there will be some bad ones too (sometimes overwhelming). You never know what you are getting. At least with arc driven/serialized shows a bad episode might still advance the plot or reveal something interesting about a character. It makes tuning in worth it. With a stand-alone episode it doesn’t feel fulfilling at all.

I watched the first two and loved them. Really well made and entertaining. I hope it can keep it up.
This thing is flying under the radar for now. I’m surprised there’s not more buzz around it.

I loved the first one, which Peacock made free—but not enough to pay to watch the others.

Episode five was pretty good, but very unrealistic. The devious plan of the villains of the episode hinged on the ability of a geriatric woman who can't use her legs climbing up vines using just her arms, committing a murder, and then climbing back down.

Well, the show hinges on a human lie detector who seems to accidentally encounter a new murder everywhere she goes. This ep was particularly kind of silly, but also by far the most entertaining and gnarly one of the series. The fight scene at the end had me in stitches.

Six episodes in now. The first episode was great, but since then the show has been quite mediocre. The thing that brings me back is Natasha Lyonne, who is a absolutely killing it as the lead.

I thought episodes 2-4 were a series of diminishing returns, but it's starting to hit a stride. 5 is still my favorite, and 6 was cute too. Though I finally noticed a slipup with the "she can always spot a lie" gimmick: when Barkin tells her Tim Meadows was on stage the whole time.

It's nice to see Natasha Lyonne doing well... She had some issues for a good while.

Three good eps in a row. I appreciate that this one changed up the formula a bit.

I did start watching it. I’m halfway through season 1. It’s definitely good. Well shot and paced series. However, I just don’t think I’ll ever be a fan of the case of the week or individual episode storytelling format. It’s just too much story to digest. I feel like I’m just getting to know these characters and then bam it’s over. I would have rather see them do one big case throughout the season (or even 2 cases). Like they could have Charlie go to a place, spend a few episodes there, solve a crime and then move on.
