Some people have argued that "great" societies like ancient Greece and ancient Rome accepted homosexuality. Who were they though? Ancient Greeks and Romans? There is an identifiable chain of civilizations starting in Sumer whereby the "known" world became wealthy and civilized only to be conquered by warlike people on the fringes. Sumer was conquered by Akkadia. Those people became wealthy and civilized. Later Babylon conquered the area. Those people became civilized and were conquered by Assyria. The "known world" expanded to Persia. In turn Greece conquered Persia, and later Rome conquered Greece. So ancient Greece and Rome were not so much "great" societies as they were the warlike fringes that stole great society. There is the military legacy of homosexuality. And where did you get your information?
