The Pirates and the Reds have some pieces to build on. The Bucs have Oneil Cruz (watch out for him), Ke'Bryan Hayes, Roansy Contreras, catcher Henry Davis (in a couple years) and Bryan Reynolds is still there. The Redlegs have Jonathan India, and their two pitchers, Nick Lodolo and Hunter Greene who I think will be a star. The Royals have Brady Singer and Bobby Witt. Washington did get some nice pieces from San Diego for Juan Soto. They bottom out last year and the rebuild has begun. But Oakland has nothing. Hate to bring it up again but this team is a disaster. 102 losses last year, the roster is even weaker and they have nothing on the farm. They could be historically bad.

Almost every Padre fan I know would choose him over Tatis, Soto, and Bogarts, but they probably should be hamstrung by now. And yet I wouldn't put it past the owner somehow (but a lot of other things would have to happen). |
