What a brilliant reply!! you really reached down into your vast store of knowledge for an incredibly thought out and intelligent rejoinder. I'm in awe. I have to spell it out again "and mine" words that will live in Sports Board, no, internet, fame forever Don't bother with a reply, Andy Capp. There's only so much stupidity I can handle in one day
Aww, you sound triggered. Did I upset you, dumb yank?

I am not a fan, but it was beautiful and happy for Ronaldo because he is delivering.

Yeah, you're a bit of an idiot. While you are a confrontational jerk. Thanks for deteriorating a friendly thread, fake Internet idiotic tough guy. My pleasure. Thanks for being an easily triggered Yank with no sense of humour.

My pleasure. Thanks for being an easily triggered Yank with no sense of humour. Gee, so you do think you were being funny? Really? With mom insults? Don't flatter yourself. Brit "humour" can be a lot wittier than mom insults. You are a lightweight, childish intellectual midget. -------------- Back to the game - what a goal by Juventus! Good game so far. There was no joke at your mum's expense. The joke was a play on words. Learn to take that on the chin (LIKE YOUR MUM DOES).

What is interesting now is that nobody really plays with an order or any domination. It's a bit chaotic. I hope you are enjoying it.
ETA: Although Real is collecting a bit right now.

Wow. RM did deserve the goal but it's the second one they score on a deflection. A bit lucky. Bouffon no chance with that. Not sure I'd agree Madrid deserved it but -- ah bollix they've just potted a third. It's over now, surely.

Seems like it's over for Juventus. I can see them getting out of this hole in 25 minutes. Well, I would love for that to happen but no chance, I fear. Madrid have taken their shots on target, eh. 4 shots 3 goals. Juve 5 shots on target 1 goal.

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant to say I can't see, not I can see. Yeah, I guessed that. Disappointing second half (unless you're Real Madrid)

Well, I always feel bad for the losing team. But I am happy for Zidane and Ronaldo was great.

That Ramos is one confrontative gorilla who acts like the dying swan.

I hope you enjoyed it. And don't be bothered by the smartasses on this thread. Many Europeans regard soccer as entertainment.

It's a marco26 reference, right? I remember this fellow from the old IMDb where I used to lurk. Funny guy. Precisely. The US beat Spain (then World Champions) in some minor tournament, or in a friendly, and Marco, ever the troll, latched on that to claim that the US was therefore the number 1 team in the world. Plenty of people fell for his trolling and argued in earnest about why that wasn't so. That was the Confederations Cup in South Africa in 2009 where Spain was ranked #1 in the world with a 35 game unbeaten streak that was broken by the U.S. in the Semi-finals. The Confederations Cup is no minor tournament! Every team that has won their Champions League title within their perspective Confederations: UEFA (Europe), CONCACAF (N. America), CONMEBOL (S.America), CAF (Africa), AFC (Asia), OFC (Oceana) qualifies for this tournement. The Confederations Cup is always held by the host nation 1 year before it hosts a World Cup. The U.S. went on to play the Final against Brazil by leading 2-0 by half time but then fell apart after Brazil scored and then continue to score in the second half beating the Americans 2-3. This is the closest the U.S. has ever gotten to winning anything at the highest level. And Spain still ranked #1 went on to win the World Cup the following year.

The Confederations Cup is a minor tournament. That's not up for debate.

The Confederations Cup is no minor tournament! Yeah, that's why we send the C-team. Of course it's a minor tournament.
