It's a great fun film, and carries the tones of Captain America: The First Avenger along with the fantastical quality of the first Thor. And it's honestly on that sort of level as well. I quite enjoyed it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it is not the best comic book film in the last 10 years, and while it is vastly superior to anything in the DCU so far, it does not eclipse the upper crust of the MCU. I am however, looking forward to the sequel.

I've actually found that CA: TFA is pretty underrated. It's just so much fun and I have yet to see WW, but I sure hope it is as fun and campy as TFA. That would make me more than happy.

.......you take it back.....you son of a bitch I thought it was a compliment. Those are good films and Wonder Woman fits right in. I don't know who said that it was the best comic book film in the last 10 years. I mean it's good, but come on, it's not the best film in the last 10 years. I really enjoyed it, and honestly can't wait for a sequel to it. I loved Gal in the role. She's absolutely perfect for it, and looked fantastic.

I didn't mean that as a knock saying it was a rip off or anything, I just meant it for comparisons sake. The Cap war vibe is obvious plus a bit of the fantastical elements of Thor, especially with the god references, and then of course both of those films dealt a lot with really defining what the lead character finds out about themselves, something Wonder Wonder does an extremely good job at. I really felt Diana had to deal with some amazing realizations and that was the strongest point of the film IMO. A few solid fight scenes, and it was good. I guess I'd give it an 8? If I had to. Not an all time great, but a very very very good start, and something to build on most def.

It's a great fun film, and carries the tones of Captain America: The First Avenger along with the fantastical quality of the first Thor. Wonder Woman isn't like crappy Captain America: The First Avenger or Thor at all. Wonder Woman has more similarities with the first 2 Superman movies than with crappy Captain America: The First Avenger or Thor.
1. A robber shoots Lois with a gun and Clark stops the bullet with 1 hand. A German spy shoots Steve with a gun and Diana stops the bullet with her bracelet. 2. Clark's 1st public appearance as Superman (flying up and saving Lois and then catching the falling helicopter) is epic and is the most iconic scene in CBM history. Diana's 1st public appearance as Wonder Woman (climbing up out of the trench and charging the enemy and liberating the town from the enemy) is epic and will be 1 of the most iconic scenes in CBM history.
3. Lois and Clark have a brief romance. Diana and Steve have a brief romance. Nothing unrequited in both movies.
4. Superman battles 3 fellow Kryptonians who are just as powerful as he is and can't be defeated by ordinary humans. Wonder Woman battles a fellow God who is just as powerful as she is and can't be defeated by ordinary humans.

Steve goes to a bar to assemble his multi-cultural motley crew of heroes for his cause. Steve sacrifices himself to take the threat away from harming others I have to say, Paradise Island was not as impressive as Asgard.

And then it becomes Thor. She discovers her powers of a god like heritage and fights off a character she literally calls brother. Not to mention her homeland and asgard have obvious comparisons as hidden paradises with nostalgic sensibilities.

I was hitting the button and wasn't even thinking I ycould just type it in. Nice call. You need to be in BBcode. I hit the button & typed-nothing. I tried highlighting what I wrote, then hitting the button-no. So I hit edit again & I had a spoiler set in front & behind what I wanted to hide so I removed the code I needed to on each side & TADA! So if I want to do spoiler I pop over to code, hit the button & center

I'll have to wait until next week to see it, but it's like: Without giving anything away that isn't in the first trailers, her homeland and the finale are very Thor like, with mystical lands and god like references, and then the middle of the movie is very Captain America.

I don't know, I think it's gotten to the point I can guess where they are going in these movies from the trailer and their (DCEU not Patty) past movies. I guessed X-men Apocalypse because I understand Bryan Singer's view on X-men and what little was in the 1st trailer. There were too many First Avenger shots in the Wonder Woman trailers. And the Thor comparison was just going to be there either way. Wonder Woman is pretty much DC's Thor in her solo movie and her place on the Justice League (just like Thor is the MCU's Storm).

I can read the script (or even the novelization) and still enjoy seeing the movie. I just looked at every spoiler you guys put down and it doesn't phase me. Probably because I could guess that would happen or the DCEU is really straight forward or they are doing a good thing with sticking pretty close to the comics (for the most part).
