For some, it's the best of the Star Trek films. For others, it's good-but-overrated. Regardless of how you feel, it's the Star Trek film that gave the franchise staying power at the box office. People also remember it for things like character interaction, themes on aging, action, humor, Ricardo Montalban's memorable performance, the famous death scene, etc.

Because 35 years is too soon: Saw it on Day One. I remember it was just a rumor that Spock dies but I was nervous.The battles were over, Khan was dead so I thought it wasn't true. Then Scotty called up whining about the anti-matter engines or whatever. When Spock gave that look and stood up and went to the elevator I was screaming "Noooooo!" on the inside. Yes, I cried.

I put this movie on to fall asleep
I am not saying it is bad but star trek is good to fall asleep from, is peaceful
