A nice introduction for anyone contemplating diving into bleak apocalyptic world of one of modern cinema’s greatest visionaries I still need to see his three early social realist films and I look forward to rewatching his later monolithic masterworks 1979: Family Nest - NS 1981: The Outsider - NS 1982: The Prefab People - NS 1983: Macbeth (TV Movie) - NS 1984: Almanac of the Fall - 7/10 1988: Damnation - 8/10 1994: Satantango - 10/10 2000: Werckmeister Harmonies - 9/10 2007: The Man From London - 8/10 2011: The Turin Horse - 10/10

I'll probably never get round to his early works. He's unquestionably one of the great modern film-makers. I was blown away by Werckmeister Harmonies and include it in my top 20 of all time. Turin Horse was a bit grueling but very good. I need to see Damnation urgently.

Turin Horse was a bit grueling but very good. I need to see Damnation urgently. His early work isn't a priority for me, but I'd still like to see it if I get a chance. The Turin Horse is probably my favorite of his work. Pushes his bleakness, minimalism, and nihilism to it's inevitable endpoint. A perfect final film.
