Another overly silly slasher film. Its fine but nothing special. A teenager (played by a 50 year old man) and his adult teen friends go to his childhood home and get stalked and killed by his old puppet he had as a kid. Some nice horror movie references.

Jeez another bad one this week. A really dull slasher film where very little happens in it.

This one reminded me of Manos The Hands of Fate oddly enough. Its about a young blond woman (played by the recently deceased Karin Brauns) is a slave to a man with a bird like mask who has a unique sense of smell. Theres also a killer clown. Its a film that runs only 75 minutes and that includes scenes played twice for some reason and never ending end credits.

Vampire Journals(1997) A dark, moody, erotic Vampire film with a bit of a gothic atmosphere, despite being in modern times. Plot revolves around 2 rival vampires battling for a girl's soul. One wants to enslave her, the other wants to save her. I enjoyed it. 7/10.

3/10Ashley Laurence of Hellraiser stars in the third entry of Warlock. Unfortunately a really slow film that has some good ideas but not put to good use. True, this was a disappointing and sluggish sequel (that discarded the chase element of the previous films). Really lacked the fun and wickedness, & sorely missed Julian Sands.

Don't Panic (1988)Teenagers celebrating a friend's 17th birthday mess around with a Ouija board and unwittingly summon a demon that proceeds to possess one of the teens and force him to commit murder. This Mexican-made horror slasher has been sitting in my Shudder queue for quite some time and I finally decided to watch it. I was completely sold on the potentially intriguing premise that, unfortunately, failed to deliver. It's all amateurish mishmash that gets bogged down in tedious writing; it ends up not making a lick of sense whatsoever with too many unanswered questions. Seems the movie can't decide whether it's horror, a comedy or both. It's supposed to be in a tongue-in-cheek manner, but the humor is often very lame. And when it tries to be terrifying it just comes off as laughable. Even the gore effects are badly done (well, actually part when somebody gets stabbed through the chin isn't too bad). Gotta love those dinosaur pyjamas. Again how old was this teenager.

5/10I love the first 3 Hellraisers but part 4 is where they start to get bad. While Bloodline is not a bad film its a very disappointing one. The timeline plot is creative but not so much for a Hellraiser film. I would like to see a Directors Cut of this film since the Dimension seemed to have butchered the original version and it shows.

3/10Six people are trapped in a field. They have items to help themselves. Its a interesting concept but the film is pretty dull and confusing. Plus it makes little sense.

This movie sucks. The dialog hes a bunch of guys with strong accents go on and on. I could not make out anything they were saying. Its just a lot of that really. Then some killers in pig masks come by to off them. Its terrible.

1/10Jeez. Another awful one. This film was made in 1979 but it has the look of a modern film trying to look like 1979. Its a ugly boring mess. No fun at all.

WestworldBoy, if this isn't a movie that lives up to a cool poster. Charmingly campy, unpretentious scifi thriller that's pretty much all pulpy premise- all action. And it's maybe the first robot uprising movie. Don't quote me on that, I could be full of crap. Sure, it's easy to make fun of Yul Brynner as a murderous robot ("Oh, what perfect casting!"), but he's actually putting in a real performance. Everything he does feels strangely automated- a little too static, like he's a clockwork machine. It's a truly unsettling performance that's augmented by some impressive- if rudimentary- make up and animatronic effects. His intended targets are likewise quite intriguing themselves. The dynamic between the cocky, easily masculine James Brolin (who's out of the game almost immediately) and the reserved, mild Richard Benjamin feels very Deliverance; with Benjamin's character eventually having to prove himself in a survival situation. It's kinda awesome. It's a cool movie- one that clearly influenced The Terminator, and one whose futristic-theme-park-gone-wrong premise Michael Crichton later ripped off from himself in Jurassic Park. Never yet watched that T.V. show (although I did kinda like Futureworld). Is it any good...?

Dark Night Of The Scarecrow (1981)In a small southern farming town, four intolerant bozos falsely accuse a mentally-challenged man of severly hurting a little girl and end up killing him vigilante style. After being acquitted in court with the claim of self-defense, each of the men start dying off in a series of "accidents." A suspenseful and creepy tale of vengeance from beyond the grave. Novelist Frank De Felitta does a fine job with the direction and provides some stylish camera work and a chilling atmosphere, plus a sense of ambiguity. This could very well be one of the best made-for-TV horror movies of all time, and can compete with any of the scariest theatrical horror movies. The ending will chill you to the bone.
