Terrifier 2 (2022)Art the Clown returns to terrorize a teenager and her younger brother. Art is also helped out by a demonic little ghost girl. I already watched Terrifer 2 for the 2023 October Challenge, but I had a strange craving to watch it again. Don't ask why. Anyway, I'm glad I did a rewatch because I liked it even better the second time around. I even boosted my rating. Below is mostly the same review I posted in the October Challenge discussion thread. An improvement over the first Terrifier. Better story, better production values, and rich character development. And the violence and gore is pushed to new heights with unrelenting nastiness and brutality. At the same time director Damien Leone displays a macabre sense of humor; the darkest of its kind. The funhouse finale is superb and Leone makes great use of the horror action intertwined with the demonic amusement devices. And the little ghost girl was truly creepy. (girl was a murder victim of Art; wonder why she became a demon?) David Howard Thornton reprises his role as Art the Clown and he delivers an amazing performance. This is truly for the most hardcore of horror fans. My only complaint is the running time of 2 hours and 18 minutes. It should have been kept under 2 hours. 8/10

It's a Wonderful Knife (2023) ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c9/Its_a_wonderful_knife_poster.jpg) Is this any good? It's fine. Not too gory, unfortunately, but when all slashers seem the same, at least it tries something different. Reminded me of the recent Totally Killer (2023), a sort of Scream-Lite. If that doesn't sound good to you then maybe avoid it. Justin Long hams it up while Joel McHale is remarkably subdued.

"The Mask" 1961 "Drag Me to Hell" 2009 "Demonoid" 1981 "The Navy vs. the Night Monsters" 1966 I haven't see The Navy vs The Night Monsters, but I love Leonard Maltin's BOMB-rating review: "1) Look at the title. 2) Examine the cast. 3) Be aware that the plot involves omnivorous trees. 4) Don't say you weren't warned".

3/10The Terror Experiment has a solid enough plot for a infection movie. Some nut job releases a deadly gas throughout the ventilation system of a Federal building. Most turn to crazed infected zombie like nutjobs while a few people are safe and need to get out of the building. The issue is the overall directing and writing is pretty lousy. Plus its just not that exciting or entertaining. A solid B-Movie cast is wasted. C. Thomas Howell, Judd Nelson, Robert Carradine, Jason London and Lochlyn Munro star.

7/10
Liam Neeson stars as a busy father whos marriage is pretty shaky. On the way dropping his son and daughter off to school he gets a call (in a very Jigsaw like voice) that there is a bomb under his seat. If he or his kids get up the car will explode. Kinda like a Grand Theft Auto mission. I have not heard the best things about this film but I really liked Retribution. Granted its a flawed film that can be picked apart. Like why does not the bomb go off when the car flips on its side? But still despite the flaws I found this film to be entertaining and pretty thrilling. Plus it goes by really quick. Without credits is only like 83 minutes or so.

We don't actually get a Zombie til near the end. I see I gave this a 6 on a previous viewing, which may be a bit generous. 5½/10.

Becky (2020)A 13-year-old girl with severe growing pains tries to outsmart the escaped prisoners who have sieged her and her father's vacation home. This is an often routine home-invasion thriller with elements from such movies as Death Weekend and Straw Dogs. However, directors Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion keep things lively with some nice stylish touches and a brisk pace. I was especially fascinated with the clever camera work showing juxtaposition between the scenes of the criminals' activities and the family's normal activities. If you see the movie you'll know what I mean. The R rating has a warning of "strong bloody violence and grisly images" and they ain't kidding! Much of the violence is quite graphic and nasty. The eyeball scene was memorable as well as very cringey. The acting by the entire cast is first-rate. Lulu Wilson gives her Becky character much credibility as the young girl who is at first an annoying whiney teenager who is forced to grow up quickly and become a warrior figure to save her family. Kevin James is so frightening and menancing as the main baddie that I actually forgot I was watching Kevin James the comic actor! Now I just have to see the sequel The Wrath Of Becky. Hopefully it will explain the mystery of that key! 7/10

The Wrath Of Becky (2022)The avenging angel is now 16-years-old and just as spunky as ever. This time she goes on a Charles Bronson rampage on the misogynistic domestic terrorists who killed her dear friend. The occasion when the sequel easily outshines the original. A different pair of male and female directors this time, but this follow-up is just as stylishly done as the original. It takes a Kill Bill-like approach complete with narration. Plus Becky even gets her own quick-cutting Commando dress-up scene, which was amusing. There's an abundance dark humor here, and it's often quite funny; something the original mostly lacked (not that there's anything wrong with that). Even the extremely gory killings were comical. Lulu Wilson is solid again as Becky, even better than before. She's meaner, tougher, and smarter. A very believable transition from bratty child to badass survivalist. The door is left wide open for yet another sequel. 7.5/10

Tom Atkins who witnessed the actions of what the slugs did in the 50s, comes in to help college students who are the new target after a certain incident in a lab that releases an undead body. Finally gave this B-movie inspired flick a shot after hearing about it all these years (watched the director's cut that had a different ending I do prefer to the theatrical one). It's cheesy as hell and may not be for everyone but that works in its favour. Atkins is easily the best actor in it and has a badass showdown in the climax. 7.5/10

I watched the original Nosferatu by Murnau.
I had never seen it before.
I give it 3 stars.

![](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/4a/a2/a8/4aa2a8ce8584712dd7e23deb927ac6cf.jpg) Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) There are still some people in Racoon City and they have been contaminated by chemicals by Umbrella that seeped into the ground water. they all go Zombie the same night, except for the 6 or 7 local cops who are all Umbrella employees, but had no idea this was coming and now must deal with it. It mostly goes from dark dreary boring scenes to Dark chaotic nonsensical action scenes. No Milla Jovovich, but I doubt she could have saved this mess. 3/10.

![](https://justalrightreviewsdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2018/10/halloween-6-the-curse-of-michael-myers.png?w=1200) 3/10I tried a bunch of times to like this film. I just dont. I never liked the Thorn cult concept. I seen both versions. The Producers cut is a little better but not by much. The only thing I like here is Paul Rudd. It still blows my mind that Ant-Man is in a Halloween film. Probably my least favorite Halloween film but Im going to see Resurrection again. We will see.

6/10I very much liked this film when I was younger. Seen it a bunch of times then. Watching it again I still like it just not as much. Its pretty satiating but I think my main issue is that the ending was ruined by Halloween Resurrection. I just cant cant get that out of my mind. And I know I shouldn't punish this film for the sins of the sequel but I just cant help it. But still its a decent follow up to the first two Halloween films.

3/10Easily my least favorite film directed by Joe Dante. I was kind of into this film at first. Its like a feature like Goosebumps episode. But I was getting bored of the concept about 40 minutes in. The rest was a chore to get through. I like the cameo by Eric Cartman though.

A Hook hand madman out for revenge in 1880s Baltimore amidst the backdrop of a Horror House of Wax. A "Fear Flasher" gimmick to warn viewers of upcoming (not so) scary scenes is a bit corny, but overall the movie is reasonably well done. Wayne Rogers of Mash plays a Police Sergent and Tony Curtis has a brief cameo as a brothel patron. 6/10.
