Watching "Blood Shed" now from 2014. Another Dollar store find. Oh and "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" from the same store.

Not sure if this fits horror, thriller or suspense. Planet of the Apes 1968 It was in Famous Monsters of Filmland and also in a book on horror films (as was King Kong).
"He was a model for us all, a gorilla to remember... Hunter, warrior, defender of the faith. A font of simian kindness. The dear departed once said to me, that he never met an ape he didnt like."

Thanks for reminding me of "Famous Monsters of Filmland" old magazines, all mine were sadly destroyed in a cellar flooding a few years ago. I loved those magazines.

You're most welcome DebLovesBeccy !! I imagine I will enjoy those movie recommendations here
because the Wikipedia write-up storylines looked most intriguing too . Also another good and underrated one
I haven't seen in a long time now
and would recommend here too . Again thanks so much for your replies . Thanks for letting me know about that one too mszanadu. I think I might have seen that one but I am not sure so I will have to look into it. I have seen so many Horror movies over the years I forget the names of some of them and don't remember I saw them before until I am watching the movie and it starts coming back to me and that can be annoying when it is a Horror movie I like and want to buy on DVD and I rented a lot of Horror movies at my local Video Ezy years ago that I want to get but I can't remember the names of including one about killer gnomes and I have been trying to remember what that one was for over a decade now but no matter how much I think about it or look into movies with killer gnomes on Google I can't remember it. Have you seen 'The Reaping', 'The Messengers', 'The Glass House' and 'Long Distance?'
I totally agree here DebLovesBeccy
those are definitely another
awesome set of underrated films
here and ones I have seen too .
Again thanks so much for the reminder on these as well .
Also another good one I just got through watching today too ( and haven't seen this one since it was brand new back in the day also ) .

Re-watched the Tim Curry It for the first time in about a decade. Still pretty solid, even in the shadow of the 2017 film. Only flounders in the final act, really.

The Witch (2015/16) - 7/10
Honestly it didn’t do much for me until the third act. A pretty wicked film with some disturbing moments.

"The Howling" (1981)
Second only to "An American Werewolf in London" as my top werewolf film, this has a great self-referential sense of humour (lots of in-jokes for buffs) in addition to working as a genuinely scary horror film. The cast, music, and makeup / creature effects are all top-notch.

A most excellent put write-up here too BTW
and I totally agree with you here heysweden
both of these top werewolf films
are definitely memorable
classic fun popcorn flicks
that really does have a bit of everything to these also
( and I never tire of these 2 awesome films here either ) .
These 2 fine films certainly make my Halloween horror film list
for the month of October also .
Thanks so much for the reminder of these films as well .

Had a double watch of The Dunwich Horror (1970) & Midori (1992). Two very different extremes. Old school, doom-laden horror build-up is the name of the game for this very loosely inspired Lovecraft tale “The Dunwich Horror”. Dean Stockwell mugs every shot with his cold, bug-eyed glances, while Sandre Dee is mostly in a daze. The stirring score is right on cue and art decor with its colour arrangement is striking. Crafting a psychedelic vibe, but the back-half turns real schlocky with monster POV shots and the odd laughable effect. The glacial pacing can be a little hard going at times. “Midori” is a disturbing, perverted and twisted horror-fantasy anime Magna adaptation. The heavy confronting themes do tear away at the central character’s psychological make-up, virtually kicking you in the guts and sticking with you long after it finishes. The animation is raw and scratchy, but only adds to the seediness & WTF factor. Not for the easily offended.

To Hell & Back /and Spookers.
The first is a rather revealing, and candid documentary on horror icon Kane Hodder & the second is an enjoyably looney, and personally reflective documentary about a former asylum turned performing arts spook house in New Zealand.

Wow. I haven't seen 'To Hell & Back' yet lostinlimbo and didn't know it existed but I will have to look out for it the next time I place an order on Amazon. Thanks for sharing that trailer on here.

It just so happens I have seen 'Wes Craven's 'They' movie mszanadu and that is a good movie too and I have watched a lot of Wes Craven's movies over the years and two of his lesser known movies I watched in the past year were 'Never Look Down' and 'Night Visions' but I think the most underrated movie Wes worked on was 'Wishmaster' and if you haven't seen them you should watch the 'Wishmaster' movies. There are four movies in the franchise and I think the first one was the best but I liked 2 and 3 too. Robert Englund recently called 'Wishmaster' one of the most underrated Horror movies of all time and thinks the franchise needs to be brought back and Andrew Divoff who plays the Djinn has said he wants to do another movie.

Bride of the Monster 1955, directed by Edward D. Wood Jr, staring Bela Lugosi, Tor Johnson, Tony McCoy, Loretta King and others. In the Florida Everglades a missunderstood genius are experimenting with creating a super race with atomic powers, and an octopus, or something like that. Having read and heard about how awful this movie is, it's better to see and make up your mind by yourself, and yes it's awful. It's fun to at least have seen it. Are there octopuses in the Everglades? Creating the poster looks like it costed more, than making the movie:
