Catman is too lazy for doing that.
He makes do with the store brand salsa.

I'm now in the habit of buying salsa but by the time it molds in the fridge, I've had less than half.

I do when I have the ingredients from the garden. I found a jarred one that we really like though called Green Mountain. I have to order it off of Amazon though because I can't find it in our stores.

My salsa needs are pretty basic, so I buy it ready-made in the jar (I have seen the fresh-made stuff, but have never tried it... perhaps I will some day). I get the mild salsa, Private Selection brand, sold at Kroger stores. IMHO it's pretty good, and much cheaper than competing brands.
Oh, and while I'm at it, let me mention that my use of salsa is for one thing only: I add a big spoonful to a piping hot bowl of chili. It pairs nicely.

I've never really thought about making it. I don't suppose that it would be very difficult, but I have it so often -- oops, infrequently -- I just buy it. And, as with NJ, it tends to grow "fuzz," before the jar is empty.

I do in the summer. Its a tough one to get right. It often comes out too bland.

Made salsa verde today. I finally discovered that the secret to get it good is to boil the tomatillos rather than roast them. Made a huge difference. You wouldnβt think boiling would bring out more flavor than roasting but it totally did!
