I have read all 7 books of The Chronicles of Narnia. Yes, they were all very good.

His "Cosmic Trilogy" stuff is fun. Don't just do the Narnia thing. It's all very "Victorian Sci-Fi" but he's a hell of a writer. Check out "Out of the Silent Planet" (it should be uber cheap in e-form) and go from there. Also check out "The Screwtape Letters" if you're of a more theological frame of mind.

mere christianity - terrible preface to paradise lost - even worse
out of the silent planet - his attempt to copy lindsays a voyage to arcturus, not very interesting

I think the first 3 Narnia books...or maybe just 2. I know I've read Magicians Nephew and Lion Witch Wardrobe...but I feel like I've read more.

All of the Narnia books....
I recommend them... but, they are rather goofy when compared to other great series...es?.... Serii?
The Screwtape Letters... Don't really recommend. Just weird and ultimately pointless. EDIT: As Cine pointed out, it might be interesting for it's theological/philosophical perspective.. which really isn't all that unique - it's kinda cookie-cutter-ish. (Narnia has more of an interesting "Be devote in anything - even Devil worship - and you are really worshiping God" philosophy.

He's okay, but Catman does not feel compelled to read any of his works again.

Series. It's the plural as well as singular. I want to read the Narnia series, but so many books, so little time...

Series. It's the plural as well as singular. I want to read the Narnia series, but so many books, so little time... Off the bat, I'll say that they are an easy read... Time really isn't that much of an issue. Leave a book on the toilet... You'll have the series done in a week. Depending on your menu.

Time really isn't that much of an issue. Leave a book on the toilet... You'll have the series done in a week. Time is an issue when I already have about a dozen or so book series ahead of it in line which I also haven't read, including Le Morte d'Arthur - in the original spelling - and Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Currently I'm doing a lighter series, the Chronicles of Prydain, after which I'm thinking I'll probably get going on the Hornblower saga. When I'd eventually have time for the Chronicles of Narnia, at the slow rate I'm reading.... I'd say about 15 years, but I couldn't make any promises.
