Looks to be another good week for Days. I still think that Eileen is a genius when it comes to her acting skills. Her portrayal of Thomas Banks is so funny. I truly miss her playing all the Banks family members and especially, her Kristen.
I have to say that I actually find the pairing of Xander and Chloe is pretty good. They look like they’re having fun playing off one another.
I’m really kind of shocked how steamy (literally) Nicole’s and Eric’s shower scene was last week. It almost made me a little uncomfortable even though I’ve seen much more skin in a Netflix show. But I’m just not used to seeing it on Days. I guess being on Peacock now, they can be more risqué. It was just weird seeing almost all of Arianne’s breasts.

Yeah I agree those shower scenes were a lot of Days! I was surprised too - because it's a soap. But it was a little uncomfortable for sure. You could pretty much see everything, there was a giant scar on her back!
I am glad you like Xander and Chloe, she is way more lively in scenes with him!
I thought Eileen was funny as Thomas Banks also. Gosh they make her look so hideous and creepy.
I can't believe how quickly the story with Bo is moving. Hope got through to him in record time! Poor Shawn! I can't believe he shot his dad!

Perhaps Days has found some new life again in the new Peacock streaming service. I guess they don’t have the same constraints they had on NBC. Even though they’re recycling the old sets, it just seems like there’s more variety of places as well now.
The pacing of the storylines is also much quicker and things are actually happening as opposed to them talking about it happening.
I agree with you about the shocker of Shawn shooting Bo. Didn’t see that coming at all.

Yes I notice they have new wallpapers and set pieces even though they are using the same spaces. It makes it less obvious they are recycling sets. I still feel like the sets are too small though. Everything feels so cramped.
I am not sure how I feel about that greenscreen set they used for the warehouse scenes or the clifftop scenes. It's just not the same as filming in a real location.

The warehouse wasn’t so bad since it was so dark. The cliff side scenes were atrocious. I guess if it wasn’t a CGI background, it wouldn’t have been so bad. But I thought it took away from the dramatics of the scenes.
All in all, the week was pretty good. I just would have rather see things play out differently. However, it’s giving Brandon Beemer the opportunity to shine in his role. He really seems like a person struggling with his actions. I guess that’s why everyone seems to love the veterans the most. They really bring their game to the canvas.
Scared to see where things go from here. I’m hearing that several actors are being let go due to more budget cuts. I’m okay with a smaller cast. Just hopefully they get rid of the dead weight characters like Rafe, Jada, Talia, Li, Wendy, Kristen, Gwen and Alex. I think giving characters a few months break isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I would like to see some of these characters go. This stuff with Talia and Sloane's brother is creepy and weird.
I still think they missed an opportunity for Sloane and her brother to be Chad's relatives somehow since Chad's original bio-dad was also Peterson.

I forgot Chad’s last name before he went by DiMera. That would have been interesting for sure. I’m still trying to figure out why Sloane is American and her Brother is British?!? Hopefully, that will be explained? I don’t like the actor who plays him and he doesn’t look like he would be Sloane’s brother. Also, I’m never into body shaming, but he looked pretty dumpy in his first shirtless scene. Daytime soaps are usually known for hiring beautiful people but he’s very meh!!!
I can’t stand Talia but knowing she’s not gay makes it seem like they’re going to slowly work on getting Chanel back together with Johnny.

I don't like the brother either...no body shaming but yeah, he is not really soap standard at the moment.
I really can't stand this storyline. WTF is wrong with Talia, she was a doctor and now she's all under this weirdo's influence? Makes no sense.
