Scream: The Series
When I stopped: After season 2 Reason for stopping: Wasn't getting into it and the third season (rebranded as Scream: Resurrection) went to a different network; they started airing on Netflix and MTV simultaneously but after the second season, they rebooted the show with a new cast. Intend to return to it?: Maybe, if the show including season 3 is available on a streaming service again.
Z Nation
When I stopped: After the second episode, I think. Reason for stopping: No real reason, we just never really felt like continuing it. Although, it might have something to do with the fact that TWD was enough for our fill for zombie shows. Intend to return to it?: Probably not.

The Walking Dead: When I stopped: after season 7 Reason for stopping: I was tired of the formula of the show and heard I wasn't missing much Intend to return to it?: Maybe. There's only a few seasons left now that it's officially over Yeah the quality starting dipping a lot in the 2nd half of season 7. They then made some very terrible decisions in season 8 and 9 which permanently damaged the show. Somehow though, season 9 ended up being pretty damn good despite that. 10-11 was still watchable and had some moments of greatness here and there, but it was never the same. Definitely may as well finish it to at least close the book on it, and be up to date for the sequel. Yeah those later seasons were really unfortunate. I don't understand why they didn't just wrap it up when he left and then do a crap spinoff if they wanted to continue with the others so the show could at least end with some dignity. Very overrated show. Never really understood the appeal either, but it was enjoyable enough. It was canceled after season 3 anyway and didn't get an ending so you're probably not missing much, but it's just one season more so you may as well to say you have. They did make a movie years later though which perhaps helps wrap stuff up but I have yet to see it.

Hawaii Five 0 (2010 - 2020):When I stopped: About halfway way through Season 2 Reason for stopping: Season 2 failed to take advantage of the great Season 1 cliffhanger, and watching the show started to feel like a chore. Intend to return to it?: No. According to Mr. Mike’s Episode Ratings, the first two seasons were the best. I remember watching a bit of that too, actually. As I was a fan of Daniel Dae Kim and the other Lost alums who appeared on it. Don't remember how far I got but I assume it was within the first 2 or so seasons.

Person of Interest:When I stopped: Partway through season 1 Reason for stopping: Because it lied (wasn't Interesting) Intend to return to it?: Maybe. I have a friend who really liked it. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. I really liked it too. I own all five seasons on DVD. I think you didn't give it enough of a chance. You complained that "Fringe" was too episodic, and that you hear it gets much more serialized later on. I can't comment on "Fringe", but I can tell you POI definitely gets much more serialized later on. Yeah I should definitely give it another go. Hopefully I'll get to it some time this year. It is good to hear that it gets more serialized later on. 👍

Game of Thrones: Stopped before the end of S6 because the writing had become nonsensical and purely emotionally driven. Followed discussions on the remaining seasons but never watched them. Watched the series finale to see what the author of the books had in store and decided not to bother reading his junk any further. 👍 Vikings was great. I do recall the first few seasons being pretty inconsistent. Don't recall it ever being a soap though... Shame you stopped, some really great stuff season 4 and beyond and it actually has a pretty satisfying ending unlike a certain other show. 👆 I actually watched this recently, and I agree the early seasons were far too rushed, which annoyed me. Overall it was a decent show but Vikings is much better. Yeah Rome was, or at least could have been awesome. Not much point watching season 2 though as it got cancelled (and they knew about the cancellation ahead of time and in response rushed through multiple seasons worth of storyline in one season, resulting in a rushed and unsatisfying end). You're not missing much.

The Simpsons: Abandoned gradually 15-20 years ago as the show grew long in the tooth. Oh yeah that's another one I forgot to mention. Around 5 years ago I started watching (or rewatching in the case of the older episodes) from the beginning, aiming to see how far I could get. It started becoming a struggle in maybe season 9, and I think I stopped partway through season 10 or 11. Didn't expect it to go bad that early.
If you're referring to the event I think you are, yeah that was bloody stupid. The show wasn't ruined until season 9 though where they did something even worse.

But even from the beginning there are things that may seem insignificant, but you find out later they aren't. There are so many great episodes and moments I'd love to talk to you about, but I don't want to spoil it for you.

I think it's better than the first two seasons, in no small thanks to having Roger Jackson and the Ghostface costume back. I think the first two seasons jumped the shark when they very clearly changed the identity of one of the killers at the last minute, so I didn't mind abandoning that storyline.

I may as well add:
You Hell's Kitchen
Both for the same reason, that they were things I mainly just watched with my girlfriend and we aren't together anymore.

Stranger Things... I stopped after season 3. Just lost interest. I've watched some clips of Vecna. But I just stopped caring. The Boys... I dunno I just lost interest. It really takes me alot to invest in a show as I tend to lose interest fast. The only shows I still watch are "Law & Order", "SVU", "American Dad", "Family Guy", and "American Crime Story" "American Horror Story", "Twilight Zone", "Thriller (British)", "I dream of Jeanie", "Midsomer murders", "Tales of the unexpected", I could watch those over and over. The only thing I will say is that season 4 is return to form. I was actually surprised how invested I got into season 4 because I wasn't really interested after season 3. It's the best season since the first one IMO.

Must be different regions then. Seeing that it's only six episodes, it looks like an easier watch if only for the shorter count. Oh, and I couldn't care less whether they would abandon that storyline or not.

A bit hard to take the opinion of people who think Rome was a bad show seriously.

Night Court 2.0
I'm not gone yet, but beyond scene chewing of the supporting actors, & barely 1-2 genuine laughs an episode, it's not landing for me as I'd hoped. The original series had blue humour & bite, along with humanity & emotions intertwined. This one 2.0 2023 is playing it all safe & sound, with dry humour & characters.

Wednesday.
I wasn’t in a good head space in November, one of the worst bouts of depression/anxiety I’ve had in years. It was hard to watch anything new. I do plan on eventually going back to it, seeing as I was pretty excited for it.

I do plan on eventually going back to it, seeing as I was pretty excited for it. I am sorry to hear about your depression/anxiety. I too suffer from those very badly, and they also affects my viewing habits as well. When it was at it's worst I would avoid/take breaks from shows I wanted to watch in fear of certain things in the shows triggering my depression/anxiety. I now try to not to let it stop me from watching what I want, and I'm slowly getting better at it, but it is still a struggle.
I have not yet seen Wednesday but it does look pretty interesting, and Ortega has been great in all the movies I've seen her in.
