I found it to be even better than I was expecting, funnier and bloodier too. Nic Cage looks very sinister as Count Dracula, and I appreciated how they tried to link it to the original Bela Lugosi picture.

Haven't seen it but I've heard mixed reactions.

It was fun. I didn't think they could make a feature length film out of this premise, but they pulled it off.

I like the first half, but not so much the second.

Just rewatched it and it's still fresh and funny. Nic Cage is having himself a good time.

I thought it was fine. Really very little that's memorable, but disposable fun.
The brief moments of this silly version of Dracula transposed into a 30s and other film period aesthetic was the best stuff. Otherwise it's just sorta mild entertainment. Too much CGI and too much of the 'hey isn't this wacky how violent this is!' kinda tone. But not as annoying as I had feared.

I like the first half, but not so much the second. Other way around for me. I got more into it as it went along.

I recall being bored by the entire finale, because I just didn't really care for the plot involving the gangsters. Once Dracula teams up with them is about where the movie loses me. My favorite parts are the early parts where we are just learning about Renfield's life, his relationship with Dracula and Aquafina getting to know Renfield.

Some movies I like that stuff in (at least OTT violence), but here it feels more forced. It seems to be trying to be funny with how OTT it is, but for me it was just too "been there done that." The apartments complex attack scene is mainly what I am talking about. The cgi especially.

I mostly liked it. Hoult and Cage were fun and I enjoyed the parts of the story focusing on them. The whole cops and criminals part of the story just wasn't as fun or interesting though and was the main thing that held it back slightly.

It also gave Renfield some disposable baddies to kill in gory ways. I love Aquafina, that's actually a big reason I preferred the second half since there was more of her. I think the first half was stretching the abusive relationship joke a little thin.
