Having him stay on Earth means he'd radically affect every Earth centric project going forward because now all the heroes would have a God on call to come by anytime to resolve everything. He gives up the Throne and leaves Earth because it keeps his presence from messing up every Earthbound project moving forward.
A whole Phase about Thor...that shafts and derails every other project. Yeah, don't think so.
Two lies don't give a truth, and neither will a third one. Try again. There's a reason why he was always kept away from Earth except for the Avenger team up movies, his presence there permanently would literally affect every story set on Earth if he stayed. The other heroes weren't powerful enough to destabilize things like that. This was one of the reasons why Feige was considering just wiping the slate clean and killing all the OG Avengers in Endgame.
A Phase about nothing but Thor, which affects every movie in that Phase, derailing everything. Yeah, I can see why the MCU wanted to avoid that headache and just get him off world where he belongs.

If you want to get the most out of turmeric, you should mix it with extra virgin olive oil and black pepper.

You haven't explained how an entire Phase about Thor and his mythos wouldn't derail all the other characters (especially since they want to move away from the OG characters and move onto others) and how his continued presence on Earth wouldn't derail any and all drama for everyone else.

You're going to reply with something nonsensical, even more predictable.

With the exception of dates, figs, and raisins, we shouldn't combine dairy with fruit.

Look at this guy, raging about how MCU fans dislike Phase 4 and then in the same breath completely dissing arguably the best portrayal of Thor on screen. Hypocrite much? The "best version" of him turned out to matter very little in Infinity War and Endgame. Dislike Love and Thunder all you want but at least that Thor does stuff. Because apparently character development for you means the character should always win and never face any setbacks. You must think the Fast and Furious movies are masterpieces then. Guess that explains why you're so obsessed with the phase 4 movies.

We will probably never going to get the full true story, unless someone is willing to nuke a lot of bridges in the industry. That or if Disney goes completely under and is destroyed. God please let Disney get destroyed! Someone has to bring an end to their evil capitalistic Empire! Sometimes things come to light eventually, once the franchise in question is long over and the NDAs have expired. There was recently an ex-producer who talked about Feige covering up some Iron Man deleted scenes to prevent people from realizing how bad some of the original footage was. Honestly I've been wondering if Feige just got lucky with the Infinity Saga. Like I know that a lot of fans put him up on pedestal and treated him like he was some God. But looking at what we got with Phase 4 and Ant-Man 3, I'm wondering if his luck has run out or if the early MCU was just a fluke.

The character should do more than constantly fail, like Infinity War/Endgame Thor did.

Frankly this happens a lot in long running series. The "Fans" became too obsessed with the OG characters and can't let them go even when their arcs are done and characters are finished and the writers want to move onto other leads. That's why "fans" decide they hate any and all new characters and just want the OG forever and no progression.

The same thing happens in Love & Thunder. The difference is Gorr pities them and loves his daughter, so he decides not to kill them. If only Thanos had been so kind.

IE, smarter than "Smack the bad guy until he dies".

They gave up. They lost. It wasn't their plan. The conflict is resolved by the villain seeing the error of his ways. The rest of the movie is complete gibberish. Makes sense you're a fan.

The only new character that received a lot of hate was She-Hulk. Granted some of it was due to "political" reasons, but she did receive the most hate. At worst the other characters received mixed reactions. Yeah of course some people won't let go of some of the OG. They've been with these characters for 15 years now, so naturally some fans will be upset about it. It's been Universally agreed upon that the big issue with Phase 4 is the lack of good or at least better scripts. There's no way in hell you can sit there and tell me that No Way Home wouldn't benefited from a better script.

There's no way in hell you can sit there and tell me that No Way Home wouldn't benefited from a better script. No Way Home juggled some interesting ideas imo. It was refreshing for Spiderman to take the angle that it might be better to try to help or fix them than open with punches. That's unusual. I liked that Spiderman tried it because it shows he's a different kind of hero.
I also like that it didn't work. Trying to change people the way Spiderman did doesn't work. The villains are all who they are. Props to Spiderman for seeing more to them than that, but even the villains are within their rights to say hey, you can't just do-good your way into making me a better person. Electro is my fave example of a solution that would change him too much. Deactivating his thingee that makes him electric or whatever. Even bad guys have the right to hold onto their identities, and I honestly thought that was an interesting angle for the movie to explore.
Where it fell short for me was sidelining Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange's plan, despite making way more sense in the movie than it did in the trailers, was still nuts. He should have known better. It seems out of character for him to not.
I'm also skeptical of what opening the multiverse means for all the movies. I liked the movie because I liked all 3 Spidermen being there, but the result seems like a mess. Also, I don't remember why Doc Oc was bad again.
I was exhilarated watching it in the theater but I definitely agree with you it could have benefited from a better script.

Which is a lot more inventive than "Hit the bad guy till he dies", they win inadvertently through their nobility and dedication to one another convincing Gorr that he was the one in the wrong.

No, they were against Sam ever being more than a sidekick, they were against Shang Chi ever being made. They were against Ms Marvel being made and Kate Bishop being in Hawkeye.
Fans should be mature enough to know when a character is done and it's time to move on.
No Way Home was driven by gutless fanservice, the story and script are a mess.

Sam not a new character though. Yeah a bunch of racists got upset over him being the new Captain America, but that was going to happen anyway. People seem to forget that racist people got upset when it happened in the comics, I even remember a segment about it being on fox news and how the new Captain America "hated America" I don't remember any hatred towards Shang-Chi, outside of the criticism of Marvel first asian superhero being a martial artists, which some felt played into the stereotype. MS. Marvel series did receive some criticisms but i don't recall the character being hated by the audience. The only real hate she got was from racist Islamophobes. With Kate i don't recall any true hate towards her, outside of the usual suspects calling her a Mary Sue. Honestly the MCU has always had some form of "gutless" fanservice. Hell Endgame is one big circle jerk to the fans. The issue with NWH wasn't the fanservice. It just wasn't written very well.

I think the situation with Kevin Feige is that during the making of the Infinity Saga it was more of a collaborative effort where there were other people of equal or higher status on an executive level that had frequent discussions with him about where to go with the cinematic universe as it made its way to adapting The Infinity Gauntlet story for the screen. Some of the writers and directors of the earlier Marvel Studios movies played a large role in the shaping of it as it grew in its first phase - Jon Favreau was a player for a time, Joss Whedon essentially became an 'overseer' of sorts for the second phase of films, and James Gunn was often asked for input on various screenplays before filming began on them, for examples. These days though he has more creative oversight and has to juggle more projects and the strain has showed itself. Truly, the firing of James Gunn, who was meant to oversee half of the fourth phase (which was intended to be cosmic), has complicated things not a little.

Oh believe me there was hatred towards Shang-Chi, especially with the Anti-Asian sentiment going on and how certain folks blamed them for Covid.
Ms Marvel got criticism from everyone as soon as she was announced. Stuff about how there's nothing heroic about her and the show would be an awful anti-white political statement. Thankfully it dropped a bit once her show came out.
There's tons of hate towards her, like how she shouldn't ever have existed to begin with and was an awful character in the comics as well and how Hawkeye is better off without her presence.
Endgame had more to its plot than just the fanservice (though that helped). The only reason anyone liked No Way Home was because it brought back Tobey and Andrew and used the movie to wrap up THEIR character arcs that weren't finished in their own movies at the expense of Tom and Dr Strange.
