Do I dare?
I recently learned how to pasteurize eggs. Making a big bowl of raw cookie dough that’s safe to eat is mighty tempting!

If you make it, yes.
Something you buy from a gas station. No, HELL no.

Pillsbury has chocolate chip cookie dough in the dairy section and it says it can be eaten raw. I took a bite and it was good, I keep them in the fridge for WKD when he wants cookies.

Well, I've never bought cookie dough from a gas station. But a roll of whatever at a grocery store, I'm definitely having a bite if I'm making cookies. Same with cake batter. I've been eating both since I was a kid and never had a problem...knock on wood.

Or make it without egg. Shortbread cookies are one that do not use eggs. I use eggless cookie dough for cake fillings when a customer wants it. If baking use a little less flour, and don't bake as long.
