Been awhile, but how long before did his wife call? As for "sloth" I always took it that he was chosen for the lazy useless life he has lived. It's not at all a plot hole. Exactly. She could have called 3 hours before. John Doe does make it sound like he did it on the fly too.

The scene with Bruce Wayne setting up this whole thing with the Russian dancers as an alibi in The Dark Knight has never made much sense to me. It seems that would have drawn more attention to him. Why bother using an alibi at all? I think he's being a bit paranoid haha

Yeah, I think it's pretty clear that he diverts from his original plan once he finds out that they're on to him. He still wants to finish his masterpiece, but now time is against him.

He puts himself at a bigger risk then just not using the alibi at all.

He puts himself at a bigger risk then just not using the alibi at all. It seemed partly dicky just to stick it Harvey, but also to use his ego as cover and draw attention to Bruce Wayne, not Batman. It was excessive but on brand, but then again I'm speaking from the point of view that in the Nolan Batman movies, Bruce Wayne is Batman's costume and the role he has to play up.

Maybe he paid them to not say anything. I thought of that, but why trust them? One thing I have always found very silly is that no one is able to piece together that Bruce Wayne is probably Batman. When does Batman start showing up? 6 months after Bruce Wayne gets back. It took John Blake "orphan telekinesis" to figure it out. A lot of The Dark Knight Rises is lazy writing in the details with stuff that could have easily been fixed. He could have just had John Blake piece it together. Just tell Bruce Wayne how he figured it out.

In Se7en, John Doe enters the police station all bloody and ready to confess, to take the detectives out to see his last two victims, where he has Tracy's head sent special delivery...right before John Doe enters the police station, the desk sergeant tells Mills his wife called. And maybe not a plot hole but it's never explained how a pedophile is selected to be 'sloth'. Been awhile, but how long before did his wife call? As for "sloth" I always took it that he was chosen for the lazy useless life he has lived.
Hard to say. In the movie the sergeant merely said she called, in the novelization, he said she JUST called.

Not to pick on Jurassic Park again, but how did the dinosaurs know the power was turned off and could be able to bite/claw through the fence without electrocution?

Not to pick on Jurassic Park again, but how did the dinosaurs know the power was turned off and could be able to bite/claw through the fence without electrocution? Why is there such a big drop on the side of the T-Rex fence?

Not to pick on Jurassic Park again, but how did the dinosaurs know the power was turned off and could be able to bite/claw through the fence without electrocution? Muldoon mentioned the raptors are always testing the fence. We see the T-Tex feel it out too after eating the goat so I guess they were all doing it.

Exactly how did Don Corleone figure out that Barzini was the traitor? He wasn't buying the symptomatic act.

He wasn't buying the symptomatic act. You mean during the meeting with all the mafia chiefs? Yeah. Vito said he didn't know until then.

Carlito's Way
The mob boss is in prison and makes a plan to escape. Who does he trust to help him with his plan? His lawyer (Sean Penn), whom HE KNOWS has already double-crossed him. Why would he give the lawyer a second chance? Because he has a boat and the plan requires a boat? It can't be THAT difficult to find someone else with a boat.

Not really a plot hole but - In Goodfellas, Jimmy and Henry go to prison because the guy they roughed up in Florida has a sister working as a typist for the FBI. How does that lead to their incarceration?
